Story

Aultman offers high-quality health care services, and we continuously reinvest to improve our facilities and technology. We provide educational and career opportunities through the Aultman College of Nursing and Health Sciences and other area schools. We strive to improve the health of our community through The Aultman Foundation. We offer health and wellness education for our community with resources such as the Sharon Lane Health Center. We have hundreds of dedicated volunteers who help us positively impact the community.

Aultman is a member of the Independent Hospital Network, which was established with the common mission of maintaining local, not-for-profit hospitals.

With 808 licensed beds, 535 active physicians in more than 40 different medical specialties and a staff of more than 5,000 employees, Aultman is Stark County's largest hospital and largest employer.

Worst hospital ever I've ever been to. I was having very bad nerve pain and came to the ER in a ambulance. At first I was treated ok and then they neglected me hours. I just laid there in pain. I told the nurse there I was still experiencing a lot of pain and she said well the doctor will not give me anymore medicine. So I laid there for awhile longer until another doctor came in apparently I've been there so long they changed shifts and this doctor was very rude not caring one bit about my condition came in and started telling me that this hospital no longer gives narcotics or any controlled substances. Like where did that even come from so after I expressed the feeling and pain I was having he said to me I'll give you some ibuprofen and I said that I haven't been able to sleep for three days straight so he gave me some medication I've never heard of and it didn't work at all I will never come back to this hospital ever again and I will tell people about my experience that I had

My 80 year old mother was sent to the ER per doctors orders. He even faxed the blood test results done the previous day. She is dehydrated and needs IV fluids. We have already waited for over 4 hours. I went up to ask how long do they think the wait time was...the young girl sitting at the desk was friendly about it. But was told by the woman standing at the computer that at least 5 people are waiting for that 1 bed. That we have to be patient. And she could get pushed farther down the line because there may be people worse off then her. I told her she is 80 years old, dehydrated and was specifically sent by the doctor for an IV. So i dont think so. They have people here that are going to the cafeteria...eating and drinking...but they need to come to the ER and get seen before my Mom. The hospital is good. It is just the ER that is awful. The doctor and nurses when we did get in were very good. It is just the waiting area and time that was awful.

Had a nuclear scan It was easy, on time and the staff were great Explained everything in advance

Their maternity ward is amazing! My birth experience was 10/10. But after today i will no longer go to their ER. Ive been multiple times with my children or myself and each time there was a issue. And after my issue today i will no longer go back to their ER.

The worst E.R. experience ever! Long wait, and rude doctor. My family and I will never use that hospital again. There nurses are great though.
