This place is a joke. They advertise that they offer an inpatient medical detox in which they're supposed to comfort you through your withdrawals. If sticking you in a room with a mentally ill patient and leaving you there all day long with a very little medication or attention is supposed to be comforting than they're doing a fabulous job. However I didn't find much comfort in that at all. Their staff is obviously disorganized and abrasive and most of them don't know what they are doing. Everything they do seems like it's the first time they've ever done it. Unfortunately because they're dealing with drug addicts and the mentally ill who themselves have very little credibility, nobody really does much about it. This place just runs rampant and does whatever it wants. Some serious oversight needs to be instituted into this place. Somebody needs to look into this........

WORST place ever. My husband was detoxing from drugs. First time ever. I had no idea what to do. Had questions how his blood work went, which rehab the doctor recommends, etc. I left tons of messages with the nurses for DR SALGUERO. Husband was in there 7 days and the doctor never called me at all. Filed a complaint and Aurora said they would contact me. Of course, they never did. My husband was on SUBOXONE for only 4 days and came back in very bad shape. His psychiatrist put him back on it because he said for his kind of heavy addiction, 4 days were not enough. To top everything off, they sent him home with the wrong prescription, all very heavy opiates! He was in there for the abuse for opiates! They mixed up the prescription with another patient!!! Give me a break! I am writing this so you will be prepared for this place. Hope you find a better place or a better doctor in this facility. All the best!

WORST EVER. Is too good of a description for this place. Locked my mother and my sister inside their facility before any assessment etc. against there will! Kidnap much? This place and its people couldn't tell you the difference between your butt and your elbow. NUCKING FUTS!

CRIMINALS!!! My mom (w/Alzheimer's) was taken to SD county hospital due to her behavior. They called me (I live in LA) and told me she was there but couldn't keep her due to the lack of beds, I asked if they could keep her one more day until my car got fixed, they said no, they are going to transfer her to a facility and I could pick her up the next day. I drive out to get my mom at Aurora Behavioral Facility and they would not release her!!!! They said she had signed a paper admitting herself! I said she doesn't know any better! They just wanted to keep her so they could charge Medicare! I had to get an attorney and go to court for them to release my mother!! While there I met an elderly women who was also being kept against her will! She had gotten mad at a painter who was working on her house, the painter called the cops, who in turn took her to Aurora...she too couldn't get out! Her son was working on getting her out of that terrible place!!!!

I was a patient there and the rules are really dumb because I want to communicate with the friends I made there and they put me in a 10 foot for writing down phone numbers. Rules are stupid but you get the help you need.
