Took my 2007 Hummer H3 to a "Brotherly" franchise and got an estimate to fix my 10 year old car that was outrageous. I began looking online for a small repair shop with decent reviews and found Authority.  Their estimate for the same repairs was ⅓ the cost of the big guy and they were able to get to my car the same day.  I've used them several times since, and every time they are the same, consistently honest and efficient mechanics.  They are not cheap, but their prices are reasonable and fair. The mechanics are truthful, I've never felt gouged, I've never felt I was told to replace a part I didn't really need, they call and return calls efficiently.  We have 2 older cars (10 & 6 yrs old), and these guys have made it cost effective to hang on to them.   Oh, and did I say Quick? Every time I've had work done it's either same day or next day service. Lots more than I can say for the big franchise that took 4 days to diagnose my car and wanted 3 more to fix it! Authority does not have a beautiful lounge, free coffee, or free wifi. I will gladly do without those to have my car up and running quickly without maxing out my credit card!

So I would like to say being new to Texas it is nice to find a shop that holds values like that of Authority Automotive. I picked this shop solely because of the Google 5 Star ratings and it turns out that they have earned every single one of those Stars.

This is a great place to take your car for your repairs. The owner is honest and very quick on his work! We have used Authority Automotive every time we need something fixed on our vehicles! Not to mention, affordable prices too!

We have tried nearly every shop until we finally found authority a couple of years ago.  They dont have the most glamorous shop but the technicians are head and shoulders above the competition.  We use them because i finally feel like we found a shop who is not up selling us and who is not guessing at our issue.  Their skills are tremendous and they are professional and honest.  They take care of our work vans and our personal cars and even though they seem to be the highest quality, somehow their pricing is still really fair! Thanks Authority Automotive, youre the best!

I was referred to Rick's shop by a friend. I didn't have anything major to be done. But I had a headlamp I couldn't replace the bulb in. They took a few minutes to do it and told me it was on the house. A majority of places wouldn't do that. That alone goes a long way to win loyalty. I'll be back with any additional mechanical work I need done. Thanks!
