This place is filled to the brim with really cool and quirky stuff. Offers an eclectic mix of cards, gifts, stickers and everything else. There's always something interesting at every corner you turn!

Love all the unique cat things! What a fun shop. The prices are kind of high but I like it has so much stuff than most gift shops.

Avalon has a gift for everyone! Edgy, humorous, leaning to the left, every visit is an adventure! On my last shop, I picked up a beautiful Frieda Kahlo tapestry and greeting cards for every friend and occasion. Some vintage clothes, hand-painted candles and pillows for days.... Go there!

Until recently and for many years, I've much enjoyed shopping at Avalon. As a card carrying "progressive" I've appreciated the political edginess of much of their inventory, but over the past couple of years, "edgy" has degenerated far too often into insulting and gross, particularly when it comes to greeting cards. One doesn't need to be a believing Christian to feel the crudely insulting impact of so may of Avalon's smugly trashy and cynical messages. And teen-age smutty humor involving sexual  body parts is way too juvenile to be humorous. Henceforth I shop at Bibelot and I urge other grown-ups to do the same
