Service was great (I had Rachelle) and helpful with product recommendations and advice. No pressure to purchase additional products, which is very different from other salons I have been to.

Had a great experience at Avant. Even though it's a salon, I felt welcomed as a man and couldn't help but be pleasantly overwhelmed by the aromas of the location. Staff are very experienced and professional.

I originally posted a rather long and negative experience. On reflection l don't believe I was fair. My principle issue was that I asked for only 1 inch off the top and instead at least 3 inches were taken off. It is possible the stylist thought I only wanted an inch left on top. It was part of my responsibility to correct her if she's wasn't doing what I wanted.

The folks at Avant are nice and the experience is very professional.

Giving three stars because the place is lovely and the staff is so sweet, but the product I got is NOT worth the $178 I paid. I requested ombre hair, and the front looks like how I wanted, but the back is the same as the base color, now that I've taken a look at it a bit more. The stylist I got also cut my hair AFTER the dye process, I had a lot of hair so it made it way longer, plus I feel like cutting before would have been better since it's ombre. Maybe will give them a try again, requesting a different stylist. And see how things go. But I've gotten better deals back in California 20$ for a perfect cut and $80 for correct color. Sorry, but this place is too much money and no quality(at least my product) to back it up.
