I have been at the Aveda Salon at the Volusia Mall for over 3 years. I have experienced anything but the best service every time, every single time. The Manager has always stopped by the chair to say hello and offer a beverage. I have experienced his professional approach towards his team and always offering them a helpful hand, a piece of chocolate, water etc, especially to my stylist, because she is usually very busy. The Salon is always spotless, a happy upbeat professional environment. One can tell that he is a caring individual, that makes sure his team is been taking care of. The Front Desk Receptionist is always attentive and pleasant to have a conversation with and always let my stylist known I have arrived. I recommend the Aveda Salon at Volusia Mall to any one that would love to feel and want to have a pleasant experience.

The only reason I'm posting this as a one star isn't because I was unhappy with my hair... My guy who I've been going to for About 10 years now, following from 3 salons, Daniel, is amazing. Read on... The one star review is because of the manager there. He is extremely rude, always in everybody else's business and treats the entire staff like children. You can tell the difference in how the stylists are while the manager there as opposed to when he isn't there. While he is there everybody is on complete edge and I've seen him take over other stylists clients in the middle of the service and have seen some horror that the manager has caused on the customer but then gets on the stylist asking what they did wrong when he has no business doing ANY hair because he screwed it up. It's obvious to me The manager is killing the passion in the team. Standing awkwardly over them all as they do hair then tries to take over. If it weren't for the manager, I'd give this a 5 star rating because I've always been more than happy with my hair. A bad manager can take a team, break them down, make long lasting stylists leave (which had happened) and the rest lose passion (which I'm afraid of). Someone needs to get him out of there and maybe there would be happier clients and employees.

Fatima has been my hairstylist for 2 years now and it’s safe to say I will continue to see her for years to come! Not only is she kind and entertaining, but she is also extremely professional and considerate. She always makes sure to provide a lot of education and considers YOUR comfort level in regards to maintenance, preference, etc. I love going to her because she also has a natural eye for design and beauty. Whenever I have an idea for a look that I’m going for she can take the initial inspiration and create an amazing, personalized final result every time.

Loved the stylist. He was funny and friendly but was all business when it came time to do my hair. He accomplished the look I have been going for for years. I absolutely love it and highly recommend Daniel James!

Fatima has been doing my hair for years and always does such a great job! My hair style and color always lasts a long time and she is great at understanding exactly what I want done. She is sweet to talk with and makes every hair appointment so much fun!!
