Staff was excellent and attentive. Location is excellent for exploring this weirdly fun town and the surrounding area.  Breakfast one day was amazing and another day good. The house is old and creaky, but well maintained.  The parking situation is bad.  Access to the house with luggage is also bad.  Nobody is at fault for the access issues, but they do exist and are a consideration.  Our room was stuffy and there were no fans or AC so we had to open the windows and find things to prop them open with to try to cool down. One more thing if you're looking for a romantic getaway: our bed was very squeaky and the walls aren't close to sound proof. The implications are obvious if you want your private stuff to be private. It was a mood killer. Was a pleasant stay, but will pick a different place to stay the next time we are in the area.

Wonderful, quirky place to stay. The hotel is in a 1890s house that has been beautifully remodeled. Impeccably clean. Super friendly staff. A cat and a couple dogs wander the grounds (not in the lodging area) that are friendly. Delicious gourmet breakfast served at 9AM, or there are other options if you need to leave earlier. Breakfast was so good that I bought one of their cookbooks they have for sale. They had something different for breakfast every day. They leave snacks for you for free in your room, and also have hot tea/coffee available all day, and they sometimes leave out cookies. Housekeeping is very much on top of things and cleans the room every day. Hot tub in the backyard is great. Me and my husband were able to try it out and relax after a long day hiking Pikes Peak. Lovely place to stay, feels like home.

Absolutely loved our stay here. Staff is so friendly and helpful. The breakfast is truly fantastic! Our room was wonderful. The entire property is very nice. Great location right on the avenue. Can't say enough about the place.

Long story short my boyfriend and I came to Colorado for vacation,  took a wrong turn and ended up 4 hours in the wrong direction. Last minute we came across this gem of a place, and it completely turned our day around. They accommodated us very last minute, and were so very nice and welcoming. The environment is very clean and cozy and the bed was extremely comfortable. Lovely breakfast served!! Definitely would come again and recommend to anyone!!

This was the best place we have ever stayed!!  The staff was so friendly, it was like staying with family. We ordered a couple of packages and they exceeded our expectations! The entire house is so clean and nice, we even got to have breakfast on the front porch! We stayed in the Manitou room and the pictures do not do it justice.....you have to stay here if you are ever close to Manitou Springs. We are making plans to go back next year already!
