Rude  maître d’....(MARK) with bad attire.Place was empty , and he said there were No window tables.
We were seated in the middle of restaurant.
Stayed for 2 hours. Those window tables were never  occupied .We were all dressed nice.
We’ve dined @ some of the worlds best.
No reason to treat clients like that.
I suggest he takes hospitality courses.
We are doing you a favor dining there, not the opposite.We’d ONLY return if there’s a front

A culinary delight at the Jersey Shore. The presentation is a feast for the eyes but the taste will delight the toughest of food critics. Lovely atmosphere set against the Pier Village and Ocean.

The restaurant is modern and trendy. The food is very good but the view of the ocean is the real draw. Service is usually great. Everyone is polite and professional . Great bar menu and happy hour specials. Drinks are nothing special.

Avenue has been a favorite restaurant since it first opened.  My friend and I usually go for the prix fixe menu for an early week night dinner before we walk the boardwalk. Last time we went the place was empty yet they escorted us to a tiny table between the wait staff station and a door that went out to the deck.  We were cramped and the station was messy and not very nice to have as a view at an oceanfront restaurant. Plus the wait staff had to go by us to get to the outside tables through the door that was next to our table.  Why would they even have a table there?  We asked for another table which they didn't hesitate to give us.  We got our usual prix fixe menu and the price had gone up to $32.50 and the price of wine must have gone up too because our outing cost us each about $70 including the tip.  Although we really like the place we just didn't think the meal/experience was worth the price so decided no more Avenue for us.
