Great place for families, students; for picnics/dates, etc. Almost as good now as when I was a young kid, climbing all over the steam locomotive and running up and down the hills. I wish they could do something about all the yellow jackets though!

Avery Park is a very pleasant place to visit, with wide open areas,, and plenty of opportunities to unwind, relax, or recreate. The Corvallis Bus stop is roughly 2 blocks away, and FREE, year round, for anyone to ride. I visited Avery Park to witness and experience the August 21, 2017 Total Solar Eclipse. Although the pictures I have posted do NOT clearly depict totality (as I am not a professional photographer), the near 2 minutes of totality was absolutely awe-inspiring!!

I absolutely love every part. It is great for picnicking, smelling the roses and spending time with your loved ones. There's a place for swimming, a place to play and there is also a place just to sit by yourself and read a book. You really can't go wrong with this park, especially if you love The Great Outdoors.

Nice park all around. Several large fields separated by belts of green, with old growth trees cropping up regularly. Playgrounds on both sides and plenty of picnic tables and at least three covered spaces that I know of.

I attended the Septfest and had a great time. The weather was perfect and the park is a lovely place to relax and enjoy the visual beauty. Looking forward to going back.
