What an AMAZING customer experience! I needed a rental car last-minute on a Sunday afternoon. I called them just as they were closing, and they were so wonderful and accommodating! They reserved a car for me and even stayed late so that I could pick it up after closing. The process was fast, easy, and they were SO friendly. Because I was in such a hurry, I would have paid just about price to get any car, but the cost was so reasonable! Probably the nicest AND cheapest rental car I've ever had; a Ford Mustang--so fun to drive! If you need a rental, you will not be disappointed with this location! I will begin coming to this location for all my future car-rental needs from now on!

Absolutely the worst customer service experience I've had. Be warned right up front that this place is not a corporate run Avis/Budget but a privately owned franchise. Most car rental companies aren't this picky, but this one is. They noted dings and scratches in the damage report that would be from normal wear and tear (e.g. rocks on the road), as well as ones that don't exist. This was fortunately before the car was taken out, but already set the tone that they would be obsessive over petty things, and boy was I right! I returned the vehicle after refilling the gas tank up. Drove it home first (about a three mile drive), then returned it the next morning. The guy tells me the line is not full. Go refill it unless I want them to charge me. Seriously? Seriously. The fuel marker is ON the full line. I acquiesce and go to the Arco around the corner. 0.6 gallons later I'm back and pissed. Car returned and I will NEVER be back here again, and neither should you. And don't be fooled because the Budget rental car is run by the same people.

My car was pretty dirty inside, the passenger seat was broken so it would not adjust and the entire center console for the radio was dead.

The worst AVIS ever! Do not go there! 1)This Huntington Beach AVIS is independently owned by a family (more specifically a couple). This means that there is only one person (Fez) and at most two people in the office to attend to customers' needs. Most of the time, there is only one person, the owner-Fez, in the office so he has to close the office to give a ride to a customer. (It seems like they do so to save the cost of hiring a driver, but they do not think about the fact that they are losing their business.) Unlike any other AVIS that I have experienced, they are not professionally trained and their knowledge & skills are sub-par. 2) The owner of this AVIS has no sense of customer service. When I returned my car earlier today, he repeatedly asked me if I filled up the tank. He was yelling and not being courteous at all. (I think.... why do you need to ask?? Just check the tank and you will see.... ) 3) When I arrived at my bodyshop, Fez refused to help me unload some stuff in the back of the car due to his neck pain. He did not even pretend to help me. (He did not even get out of the car when I was unloading so much stuff from the trunk) 4) Possible fraudulent recording: I only drove the rental car 37 miles and, on the receipt, Fez recorded that I drove 100 miles. When I asked him why, he stated that he did so to avoid the extra charges which can occur if a renter drove under 45 miles. I do not believe in his reasoning. The receipt should show the mileage accurately and any AVIS waives a charge for gas if a receipt is present. 5) Possible fraudulent reviews on Yahoo: I read some reviews on Google reviews & Yahoo : There is a strong evidence that Fez is manipulating the reviews. He is the worst manager I have ever dealt with. The bottom line: If you use this AVIS, you will be very sorry. To get your money's worth, I recommend that you do not use this AVIS and go somewhere else. From my experience, LAX AVIS was pretty good. This AVIS does not deserve your business.
