I’m not sure why they use the word care.  The last 2 times I’ve been here I was treated with a “who cares” basically rude attitude. Then they billed me an outrageous amount for very little help & made me put my balance on a high interest credit card instead of accepting my payments. Going to Ohio Health from now on.

I've had a few different docs from here for various reasons. They have all been great and attentive. The e.r is reasonably quick and they do an awesome job helping you feel better and getting you on the right track. Galion hospital is the only place I trust.

My boyfriend went there to talk with a doctor about the constant pain in his knees and to get a prescription for antidepressants to help deal with his depression. The doctor he spoke to paid no attention to his knee issue for one thing. Secondly, at the mention of his depression, the doctor took it upon himself to put my boyfriend on suicide watch for the rest of the day. My boyfriend made no mention of feeling suicidal. He couldn't be released until a therapist from Community Counseling in Bucyrus came to talk with him. Once the therapist talked to him, they released him. The whole thing was so unnecessary though and the doctor obviously overreacted. Has he never had a patient talk about depression before?? What was supposed to be a half hour appointment turned into six hours in the hospital, in one of their gowns because they take all of your belongings away when you're on suicide watch, waiting to be declared not suicidal, because he mentioned depression. Please don't go to Avita. The doctors are incompetent.

Horrible place. They can't get you checked in correctly. They leave you in a room for hours after taking blood and leaving it on the counter in your room for said hours. They are a very incompetent staff. I would strongly recommend anywhere but here.
