Avoca VFD is an all volunteer Fire Department that serves 57.5 Square miles of Cass County and Otoe counties in Nebraska
The Avoca Fire Department was first established in March of 1914 and consisted soley of a double action cylinder pump and hose. This was the mainstay of fire protection until 1947 when the district was able to afford a modern day pump apparatus. Ever since, the department has continued grow and update its capabilities as our districts needs. The Avoca Fire Department continues to be a staple of Pride and Honor not only in our district but within the county as well. We look forward with anticipation to each new year and the challenges that it may bring.
