Nice library, but the funniest thing.. not really funny is they have the LOUDEST people working there.  Kinda weird, maybe I am just old fashioned and a library should be a quieter place... maybe it is just the new normal that I am not all that crazy about.

Great library. I'd be there all day if I could. Friendly little spot. Lots of seating and computers are easily accessible without a library card.

Staff is well-read, helpful, and provide fun family activities. For information, I'd visit their website, but I study there almost every day, and I am complaint-free.

I have been to the library in Avon many times as a visitor from Michigan this past year.  It is comfortable with many areas to sit and a lot of computers available.  The only thing I see this library missing is things for children on Saturday's.  I see activities for moms and their children during the weekdays in the morning or afternoon for moms who do not work.  But what about those moms who do work and want to take their children to the library on Saturdays for story time or to do an activity.

Here in Michigan at our community library, we have storytime on Saturdays at 11:00 a.m.  During the Holiday time, there are activities for families set aside on a weekday evening or on a Saturday.  Once, our family made a gingerbread house for a Saturday activity.  We paid a fee and all the materials were supplied.  It was a great time and my girls remember it well.  I took my one daughter to watch Winnie the Pooh on a Saturday morning at the library.  Our library also had a time in the summer all week where they had storytellers come in and tell stories not only for children but for adults as well.

The Flint Public Library is amazing here.  I think this library needs to seek ways to reach out to the working moms who can only bring their children in on Saturdays or one evening a month for something special.
