Yo. What are y'all 1 stars talking about? Clearly you have no idea how this works. They got a call suggesting that there might be a terrorist walking into a hotel (given, the caller seems to have been acting on preconceived and slightly racist notions) and acted very quickly and appropriately. The only reason they're catching all this negative attention is because of what's going on in America right now and the fact that they were given misinformation and acted on it, but any police officer worth their salt should respond quickly and with a sense of urgency to situations like that. They realeased the man once they found out all of it was bogus. Unfortunately the damage had alteady been done, but they handled it like the police should. If you're suspected of walking into a hotel with a bomb, it's safe to assume the police aren't going to be super friendly with you once they show up. I have nothing against Muslims and in retrospect I'm sure their department regrets what happened. But they did their jobs. If anybody should be sued, it's the person that made the call. Keep it up Avon P.D.

Love how all of these recent 1 star reviews are coming from people who don't even live near the city of Avon, Ohio. In fact one reviewer that gave Avon PD a 1 star review has done nothing but given law enforcement agencies around the country 1 star reviews and negative comments. These are not a true and accurate reviews of the Avon Ohio Police Department. The hard working women and men of this department do a lot for the community they represent and assist within other communities around them. If anything, they should be praised and the woman who called in the false information should be scolded. The officers responded accordingly to the information that was provided to them from the 911 caller. Keep up the good work APD! This is why reviewing places online shouldn't be allowed because of instances like this. People who have never been or interacted with a place, weather it be this police station or another establishment, can say what ever they want, and ultimately give you a law rating tarnishing your establishments reputation. Shame of Google for allowing this and shame of the people who have no life and go around spreading hate through online reviews.

Disgusting police department and unprofessional as well , they assault a Muslim man just because they're brainwashed to think all Muslims are terrorist .....they should be sued to the fullest degree
