First time at Awadh and I can’t wait to come back! This restaurant was busy, with lots of happy customers. The decor is a bit simple, except for a few booths that were reused from the Mexican restaurant that used to be in the space before them. We got the cauliflower fritters that were amazing and the prawns which were good too. The sauce on both which was a bit spicy but good. Both dishes had large slices of raw onion which was a little unusual to me/ not my favorite taste. The mains weee incredible. We got a chicken curry and a vegetable one. Both came with rice and we got the assorted bread basket which was my favorite- such a variety and each one so delicious. The service was fine, they were super busy which didn’t allow for lots of interaction.
Very authentic and delicious food and wonderful, friendly and fast service. Among the best Indian food that I've had in the US so far. The chicken biriyani and butter chicken were both amazing. Also had the best mango lassi I've ever had! The portion sizes were very generous, probably enough to usually have leftovers. Very highly recommended, this is definitely my favorite Indian restaurant in Ohio so far!
Nice place for Indian comfort food. It was our first time, we were in the area so chose Awadh. We really like the food and the service. Archana was our server she was very polite and knowledgeable. We mostly ordered paneer items but to my surprise they all were different from each other and were tasty. Both the paneer items in starter were yummy. If you want to try something different in paneer then paneer pan fry is the dish. Its dry and the red sauce is spicy and very very tasty. It was exactly what we were looking to. The Gajar ka halwa was super. House made Gajar ka halwa was moderately sweet so felt good. We are looking forward to visit again to try something different this time. P.s The decor inside may trick you.Mexican theme.
The food here is DELICIOUS! You will not regret coming. We came for lunch on a Monday and, sadly, business seems so slow—we were the only ones there. Oddly too, the dining room service wasn’t rapid, but we weren’t in a hurry kitchen was fast though. We had the Shahi paneer which was subtly sweet. And the lamb korma was nutty and creamy, though I wish the lamb itself was more tender. The butter naan smelled like they had just churned the butter—the scent was heavenly! I wanted to wrap myself in the naan like a blanket. The portions were actually really generous the bowls you see in my photos were pretty deep. The vegetable samosa had a bit of a kick—the shell was crisp and flaky and the filling was moist. NOT overdone at all like a lot of samosas I’ve tried. The decor was unique, but a bit run down. The bathroom was very old looking and needs updating. But I still would come back. I hope this place makes it through the pandemic, it’s really very good.
Probably the best indian restaurant I’ve eaten at in the United States! Atlanta, Nashville, Franklin, Phoenix, Columbus I’d go as far as to say it’s better than the most indian restaurants in India. The biryani is excellent, so is the Raitha served with it. The spice profile is all there! They don’t skimp on the ghee either. The chicken tikka masala is excellent! Samosas are very good! The Rasmalai is very good too. The complimentary papad and chutney is a very nice addition Wonderful ambiance. No weird music. Great hospitality. I would recommend 10/10.
Really good Indian food! We had the Goat Ghana Masala and Lamb Vindaoo spicy along with garlic naan. All were amazing! The vindaloo was good spicy level not hurt your face hot, but it was goot heat, amazing flavor! Can't wait to go back!Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: Yes
I ordered Hyderabadi goat biriyani through Grub-hub. The food was delivered fine, and was packed carefully. The biriyani was highly aromatic, and excellent. It’s one of the best biriyanis that I have devoured in a while, especially in the usa. The food was fresh and sumptuous, and the portion size was huge. It came with a side of ‘raita’, a very typical Indian condiment made with yogurt. Unlike majority of Indian restaurants in the us, this raita was thick and very fresh. I loved the food and can’t wait to order again. Update: I visited them, and had an experience of in-house dining. My own Eid special night out was excellent with their extraordinary biriyani. The service was great and prompt. The restaurant was neat and clean. They gave some complementary papadum to start with. Overall, it was very nice experience.
I would not recommend getting food from this restaurant because it did not taste good. The daal was half cooked and both the goat & daal smelled. The fish was very dry and tasted very bland. We ordered butter naan and it was dry and chewy. Very bad experience and we wasted about $90 on this food!
Typically I never eat Indian food I used to dislike it till I came here. I walked in and was greeted by my waiter which he immediately sat me down and gave me water. I ordered the chicken and veggie burrito and it was the cheapest item on the menu food wise but believe me it is the most filling, delicious dish you can get. Everytime I asked for something my waiter got it immediately for me! Also they gave me a free appetizer and that was thoughtful of them! This place definitely needs more recognition I felt bad being the only one in there Vegetarian options: A lot of them Kid-friendliness: Yes baby seats in there Parking: Good amount, easy
I was very surprised to see the owner and his wife are serving, this itself tells you allot. They are very friendly. The food was delicious made with care. This is a must try family owned restaurant.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: Yes
