Major disappointment. Waited forever to have the server take our orders. Waited another forever to get served. And yet another forever to get the bill. In between, got a mediocre beet salad (where are the beets?), a "bowl" of soup that was just larger than a cup, a forgotten order of popovers and no check-ins to see how we were doing. At one time this may have been a terrific place to eat. Nowadays, however: Overpriced. Overrated. Over & done with.

Enjoyed thanksgiving dinner at Axel's. The meal was fair, the atmosphere warm, service is always excellent. Mashed potatoes were a bit salty. Salad a bit too wet for my taste. This was a mass produced meal, my prior visits were top shelf. Not having been here for a while I will have to go again for the regular menu to provide a true assessment of the kitchen.

Very nice atmosphere. All you can eat crab legs were great. Our server was very nice.

 The best part was the service by our server, Marisa. She was polite and very friendly. Mixed reviews from our table on the food. Not a lot of choices and most are expensive. Some of our food tasted better then others, we liked the spicy penne, though it really wasn't spicy. The Axel burger was underwhelming. And the decor was dated. We went on a Saturday evening and it wasn't that busy. I would probably actually give it 3.5 stars if I could.

Fairly pricy with what I felt was a rather limited menu; a burger & fries was $15. The burger was prepared well  (seasoned/cooked), but the fries were overly salty and weren't as crisp as requested.
