We love this hotel. The staff always goes above and beyond. The food and the margaritas are wonderful. The new restaurant is a great addition and the outdoor patios are so unique! The pool is gorgeous in it’s surroundings. The rooms are very nice. Our shower floor on the 7th floor was scary slippery!? Next year will bring a bath mat for safety. Won’t stop coming, the place is like home!
This is one of the older hotels in this small resort chain, so it shows in much of the building. It does have a very friendly and accommodating staff. I was surprised by the use of text messages by the front desk to the customers for just about everythingIt worked very well. We had a small fridge moved to our room all through texting. The hot tub was awesome at night and the large gas fireplace was nice and surprising as my wife & I were the only people out there on a weekday! Usually businesses would have these items shut down. Great people working here!!
This is a great Hotel compared to the big corporate ones and I stay around the country all the time. Extra touches, free water, toiletries in the bathroom in case you forget. A lot of southwest character! Pool SPA open and great patios. Don't stay at a corp chain when you can stay here.Rooms: 4/5
Historic but beautiful property not far from campus of NMSU. Gorgeous outdoor pool and massive patio and deck area surrounding it. Bar and two restaurants, inside and outdoors, as well as conference facilities. Rooms are nice and comfortable with views of fountain and pool. Close to many restaurants and shops and plentiful, secure parking available.
I am so disappointed. I wanted to like this hotel so badly. The hotel itself is beautiful and the customer service is amazing but unfortunately that about ends the list of positives. The room was tiny and filled with cheap looking furniture. The bathroom desperately needs to be updated. There is no fridge, no safe, and no microwave. The only amenity in the room is a single serve kureig, I’m sure they probably charge for the K cups so I didn’t touch it. The pool is incredibly small and doesn’t have near enough seating around it. The water has so much chlorine in it my eyes burned after just a few minutes of swimming and my skin still itches even after showering. The restaurants have the smallest menus I’ve ever seen and the prices are absolutely outrageous. I could go on but that at least covers the most prominent issues. Overall, I should have spent the extra $10 to stay at the Drury.
Friendly desk and service staff, including a warm greeting from the bell person. Clean, comfortable room bed was amazing. Lobby has Southwest charm and New Mexico hospitality. Beautiful view from the property
This hotel has a great pool and patio area and the restaurant is pretty good when it is open. My problem is that there is no refrigerator or microwave in the rooms and there is no pantry available to purchase drinks or snacks. There is a gift shop that sells some items, but well over 25-30% airport prices. And the gift shop is rarely ever open. And never past 3PM. The hotel is located in a sea of mediocre chain restaurants that all close by 8 or 9 so no matter what you do, if you stay here be sure to have dinner first. And bring a cooler.
Comfy room and incredible service. Amenities were wonderful. Only thing we’ll do differently next time is request a room away from service folk’s closet and a room that is not connected to an adjoining room. The baby crying next door got kinda loud, as did his parentsRooms: 3/5
We had another family reunion at Hotel Encanto last week. The rooms were clean and updated, the pool & hot tub were clean and in good working order, the beds were heavenly comfortable, and my dog was accepted and supported in her stay. However, Davion was the one front desk person who was able to clean up the many room billing tangle that we created, and he did so with grace and respect. My mother had double booked and changed around the rooms last minute according to her idea of location and preferences, and the room had been pre-approved at special rates, so the other front desk personnel had them completely mixed up and over charged. We are super grateful to Davion for his superb customer service!
Don't be fooled by the smoke and mirrors.... This place is a joke. No hot water in our room so they moved us to the 7th floor. Some locals were having a party at the pool with drinks and alcohol clearly not served by the hotel and they crowded the entire area until 10:00 pm once the pool was closed. Couldn't use the pool or hot tub once. The walls are paper thin and you can hear the cars driving by on the streets from below. Next, they charged us for a $15.00 amenities fee for not being able to use their filthy pool and hot tub. Never staying here again.....
