The bar itself is fine. I ran karaoke there for a long time, and had they been good about paying me and being consistent I'd likely still be running shows there. I've heard good things about karaoke recently, so maybe it's gotten back to being decent.
Me and my wife do open mic every Thursday night from 8:00 to 11:00 please come join us
Fantastic people working here. Bill is the most welcoming bartender. Very progressive and open mangers/owners. Great layout. Stage, sound systems, lights, and feel are perfect for music. A must go to have fun for events! Weekly Thursday night Open Mic, Open Jam, Karaoke, and Trivia 6p-11p.
Joe, the bartender, heard me mention I like cherries. He put cherries in all my drinks. Thursday night was free karaoke and trivia night. We were very entertained by the wide array of talents. The hosts asked silly trivia and gave away prizes. They do not serve food but you can bring in food. Ladies get free wine until 8pm. We had a great date night.
Went here for the first time about 2 Friday's ago after a show at the FunnyBone which is next door. The bartender and staff was great and very friendly.P.S. in the review below that says a Bartender flipped them off for asking for a water -- Common dude. A bartender isn't going to flip someone off for asking for a drink. If she did, you probably had it coming, but cool story --The Band was very good and friendly. Even had a chat with them on one of their breaks. I highly recommend this place.
Adjacent to the Funnybone comedy club. Live music some nights. Karaoke on most weekends. They even have drag shows. Great place to hang out with friends for some drinks after seeing a comedy show. A few games including darts and pinball. They have a great jukebox too.
Sunday night jam session is a great event. Excellent musicians and superb friendly atmosphere.
The name was changed to social club not so much blues and jazz but still a nice atmosphere
Karaoke on a Saturday night? This used to be a great place for live music.
On Saturday June 22 2013, i was there to see The Coleman -Hughes project featuring Adrianne Felton. The staff could not have been more rude. Drink service was poor, only one server on the floor . Food service time wait ridiculous. At least 2 times the woman on the door went up during the gig to tell the band they were too loud. THEY ARE A BAND FOR GOODNESS SAKE, THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO BE LOUD. The room was much too warm for the crowd. A few people i invited to the event were told several times they were too loud. . I WILL NEVER RETURN........LaDonne c. felton
