I love this place. Food is amazing, love the drink choices. I have a lot of business contacts that come from out of town to eat, because my last 3 jobs over 6 years has been in this area. Every time I take them to this place, my new boss who came last week talked for two days about how great this place is. Food is fresh, cooked right, and the vegetables are the best. I've eaten and had drinks here probably two dozen times and never been disappointed. The lunch menu is very reasonably priced for the quality of food you get.

Traveling to Fairhope Alabama on I-10 and googled best restaurants in Tallahassee for lunch. The Backwoods Crossing came up as a result - thank you Google algorithms, for this ethereal eating experience. Seriously, such amazing food, lovely venue, and a capstone staff. Waitress Nicole was so fun and had great suggestions - would ask for her again

Fun but loud atmosphere. Food is excellent. Home cooked meals with a twist. All fresh ingredients and many grown on the property  Creative drink menu. Definitely worth a try!

We would always pass by Backwoods Crossing on the way home & I was intrigued by the Farm-to-Table sign it had in big pretty letters. Once we finally decided to try it, I was blown away! Food is incredible :) they have a special menu dedicated to items that incorporate what’s fresh from their garden. Excellent & diverse beer/wine selection. There’s always live acoustic music playing to heighten the dining experience. But that’s just the restaurant! 

I want to especially highlight how IMPECCABLE their service is when it comes to catering. We chose Backwoods to do the catering for our wedding. From the moment I contacted them, Jesse (a lead chef & head of catering) has been absolutely wonderful. His communication is on point, he is friendly, gives great suggestions, and thrives off of the ability for him to be creative & come up with a personalized menu. No cookie-cutter stuff. The food at our wedding is going to be delicious, fresh, and just to our liking. He let us come in for a free tasting so we could really feel confident on what we wanted on the buffet. He even offered to take reins of the alcohol for us for his discounted prices to help us save hassle & money! Every aspect of the service has been amazing. I’m so happy that we chose Backwoods for our wedding caterer. Nothing beats fresh veggies, local meats & fish, as well as other items such as mushrooms & wild foods gathered directly from the staff. I can’t wait for our wedding in 25 days!! I know they are going to do a fabulous job :) Thank you Backwoods!!

Stopped in with 11 family members at 8 on a Saturday night. We called ahead by 30 minutes. The staff was great, the restaurant was lovely. Real farm to fork, farm on grounds. The food was phenomenal, tasty, fresh, and well inspired. My husband had the pork tenderloin; it was tender and went perfectly with the roasted apples and caramelized sauce. I had the seafood heaven. The scallops were cooked perfectly and creamy grits were great. The restaurant is right off 10 and we will be returning. Shout out to our waiter Bryan, great job!
