Terrific long-time neighborhood bagel joint, primarily take out only very limited seating for eating in. Also has good lunch options vegetarian, dairy, and limited fish options. Staff has always been knowledgeable and well trained about ingredients and questions about items. Usually has a short wait always been at least a short line of customers, but they give full attention to each customer. Always courteous and attentive. Thanks!
Ever since Danny former owner sold this place is painfully going down the drain unfortunately. The taste has changed on everything hot and cold food. Have frequented this establishment for over 10 years and have seen lot of changes recently. Too bad there are no other kosher establishments aroundFood: 1/5
Hi ill never step foot in this place again the staff was rude even Mike the so called manager, briefly I work at BIMC almost 20 years I've ordered catering svc. Wasnt to bad, however last wk my wife had an eye surgery so we stopped for soup and a sandwich.A..PRICES WERE STUPID his answer THANK COVID is he nuts??B. then came wrong soup sandwiches were small and lettuce was light brown not fresh. C. As i was leaving i was going to get a few cookies for the security desk a girl I know and a man she was training. I put 4 cookies on the counter where D.PROBLEM #7 ive left alot out it was just unreal they said no outside food i almost went nuts saying i bought it from here.I said lets go to my wife when some worker said Hey Buddy you gotta pay ....for the food ...the first guy was respectful and told this jerk were good to go....i still said T.Y when E. the idiot asked where are the Cookies I HAD TO LAUGH i said back on the platter..ok ill take 4 ..now these were the size of a regular chips ahoy cookie a pinch bigger and individually wrapped it came to 10.85 i almost admitted myself...no wonder the place is always empty, and usually somewhat clean. Not a chance. I'm very sorry it was dirty and rude. My overall experience was ZERO.........000000000 what a shame please dont be fooled my fellow employees ive already canceled our good Friday lunch last week and went to Esa Bagel on 18 st better spreads and they been around....go where you like just dont go there unless you want to have a good laugh at prices and get asked to leave if you dont order fast enough...Thats what one of the Residents in the E.D Dept. Said ......my response was I TOLD YOU SO LMAO............ 1R
Oh - My -Goodness is all I can say to give this place a YES! YES! And a YESSSSSS!! Absolutely excellent experience even from the outside window which the beautiful pastries and decorated muffins and cupcakes inticed me to walk in and caused me a double take and a mouth watering ever so delicious experience and then to walk in and receive such excellent , courteous service! I took pics to show my father who has worked as a baker all of his life what a magnificent bakery and good looking store..the brownies, danishes, coffee cakes and everything I purchased down to the red velvet cupcake absolutely delectable.. the varieties of bagels and toppings are definitely a heaven for bagels.. I am going back and I would recommend this place to anyone if your meeting up and want to have a bite .. bagels and coffee.. a date... A treat.. here is the place to go! this place lives up to their name Bagel Boss !
I came to lunch with my Mom it was excellent. I had the noodle pudding it was so good. The staff was so nice and friendly. I will be back real soon.Food: 5/5
Fast service, walk from 14th st. & 1st Ave, indoor dining or take away pastries, snacks,pizza,beverages, $11 buys small coffee,apple turnover, fiji bottled water. ~25 person capacity indoors. 2 person counter servers do it all
Staff was very pleasant and easygoing, store was brightly lit and clean. Got the lox bagel with scallion cream cheese on a plain bagel. The toppings were fresh with a good amount of cream cheese and smoked salmon. Unfortunately, the bagel itself was dense, I prefer bagels that are fluffy and chewy and slightly sweet.Food: 4/5
I went to Bagel Boss at 7:00am. It was clean and of course uncrowded. They have a wide selection of bagels. The bagels had just come out of the oven so they were hot and soft and delicious. I got two plain with cream cheese and a cinnamon raisin with scallion cream cheese. So good. I'd definitely go back to Bagel Boss.
Worst bagel I’ve ever had. When you ask for a scooped out egg and cheese bagel with hot sauce, and they give your bagel a bath in it. If I wanted to eat pure hot sauce I would have asked for it. Overpriced and horrible, never will get a bagel here again.
Visited today since new ownership. My Tuna and bagel was delicious. Ice coffee delicious!
