The McDonald Isaac Funeral Home was established in 1934, by the late M. McDonald Isaac. In 1970, his daughter Annette joined him in the business until his death in 1981. Annette sought to continue her father’s legacy in providing and bringing comfort and service to families in the Greater Bridgeport Area, until her death in 1993. One of Annette’s friends, Andre F. Baker, Jr. took over the business and continued the strong legacy that had been established in the community. The funeral home was renamed Baker-Isaac Funeral Services.
In 1995, Baker-Isaac Funeral Services was still successfully serving Bridgeport and its surrounding towns. Mr. Baker soon set his eyes upon a vacant funeral home in Norwalk formally known as Murphy’s Funeral Home. After seeing the facility, Andre set out to meet the local citizens of the community. He began introducing himself to local clergy, churches, community leaders, and businesses. After assessing the needs of the citizens in Norwalk, Andre took a step of faith with great confidence and sound investment, believing that he could be of service to the community and launch a successful business in this area. He made a great choice!
Andre’s mission is to provide the highest quality of professional services, to educate people in planning ahead, and provide after care to families in their time of bereavement.
