On Saturday (08/12/17) my wife and I decided to treat our family with donuts from - what I consider to be-  the good donut place in Topeka.  She asked what variety of flavors I wanted.  I told her she could get what she wanted but I was only going to eat the chocolate or cream filled ones.  So she asked for a 45 count split of those flavors.  We got to our destination and made some coffee, settled in and prepared to enjoy a cream filled donut with some hot coffee.  First donut hole had the injection hole but didn't seem to have any filling in it.  I decided they might have just run out of filling in the pastry bag on that one, so tried another.  Same thing.  I asked the others if any of the donut holes had filling in them and they said none of theirs had filling either.  I ate a chocolate donut and it was okay but a little dry.  I have had donuts from this location for years and it has always been my favorite donut place.  I decided everyone can have an off day, so would give them a pass for one bad experience.  

Earlier this week, (either Monday 08/21/17 or Tuesday 08/22/17 - she couldn't remember which day) my wife said her coworker brought donuts to her workplace for an event.  She said our one time disappointment was now two times. 

I would like to think that things will get better, but at this point in time would say try them at your own risk of disappointment.

The staff are friendly.  There is a good selection of donuts and the prices are reasonable.  The dining area is large and has a good mix of booths and tables.  It is a great place to have an event.

Great doughnuts, poor presentation. The doughnuts are my favorite in town, but the place looks dirty and run down even though it's not very old. People complain that Topekans don't support local, but if places like Baker's Dozen looked as clean and nice as the "chain" restaurants, the competition wouldn't stand a chance.

Can't beat their chocolate cake donuts....the best! I wish they had their lemon cake year round....my personal favorite!

Just wished they would open the drive thru an hour earlier than the main counter. I would stop by a couple of times a week when the drive thru opened at 4:am on my way to work.
