My niece hired them to take care of her mother, my sister. She paid them upfront. They never picked up her body and wouldn’t give her the money back. No one should use this funeral home. It’s a scam!!!

These scammers not only stole my sisters money, but had the nerve to threaten her with a lawsuit. Absolutely terrible that you would take advantage of a person at a time like this! Feel free to threaten me - I'll give you my lawyers name and number.

I feel Angel is a scammer. She was not caring at all for the fact that I just lost my mother. Made an appointment to pay for the pickup of my mom’s body from the Coroners then canceled after my hour and half drive saying she had to renew her license instead. I was 15 minutes away so she said just meet me in front of Waffle House and she would collect the money. I met her only because it was such a long drive. I told her I didn’t feel comfortable giving her money at a Waffle House. She then said she had a guy in route with a check she already made out to collect my mom’s body. I told her I’d only pay if we could go to the funeral home. I finally felt guilty enough and paid the $300 at the law office they are connected with by the funeral home. After a week and half I find out from the cornors office that she didn’t pick my mom’s body up and now she REFUSES to give my $300 back after I told her I am going some where else. She said she would mail it at first then said she wanted me to come in to offer her condolences and my refund but I got there 45 mins early and she sat with her back to me with an attitude about me being early then said I can’t get the check unless I sign a paper. I said I’m not signing anything you offered to mail it, so just mail it and left the office without the check. Called later to see if the check was indeed going to be mailed and she HUNG UP ON ME. Left a message to call me back, never did. My husband called her and she told him she will not mail my money back. The money was the coroners fee. Now, I need that money for the other funeral home. They of course are taking care of my mom and said I can pay once I get this refund. But I feel I won’t get the refund. I should have gone with my instincts and known Angel was a scam artist. She never planned on taking care of my mom just wanted my money. DO NOT USE THIS FUNERAL HOME!

Mr. Carl Baloney is so desperate for business that he steals the deceased bodies of peoples loved ones. I say steal because he is known to pick up the deceased body without prior permission and/or agreement with the family stating that they have agreed to use his services. Once he transports the body, he notifies the family of the unauthorized pick up and transport, then charges the family almost $2000 to recover the body and allow the correct mortuary complete the services.
