Yes, I too as of this very moment having a issue with this shelter. My dog Wolfie Bear Brown, a 2 year old Siberian Husky, is a very playful dog. He too ran away, and we could not find him. Someone told my complex they found my dog, and they called the shelter to pick him up. Once I called them, and was transferred to the part where my dog was and the guy picked up, I was so flabbergasted by the way he was speaking with me that I abruptly ended the call. He was telling me I needed to pay $35 to recover my dog, $15 for a county license, when I asked him to explain what I needed a "county dog license" for that. He said, well if you had one you'd know you had it,and what it was for if, and if you hadn't lost your dog, you wouldn't know you needed it. You should study the county laws" I was LIVID !! YES, They are RACIST !! he assumed my didn't have his updated shots , especially rabies !! He was VERY contemptuous. When I called back, I spoke to another person, he was a little gentler to my situation, however the damage is already done. These people make it difficult for you to reunite with your animal on many levels, especially if its an animal that is in HIGH DEMAND, and also they said they had to NEUTER my damn dog !! EVEN though, I am picking him up, but because it's the third day and at the close of the day, he's their dog!! If your BROWN-SKINNED, in my opinion they believe you're not worthy of your animal.. They can kick rocks. Please DO NOT SEND or TAKE ANY TYPE of ANIMAL HERE !!! THEY nor this PLACE is WORTHY !!!

We recently had our new 2 year old King Charles Spaniel spayed and I can't say enough about what a wonder experience it was. Every single person that we met was just awesome and 4 days later our dog is acting like her old self.

I am not impressed at all about the communication and attitude of the employees here. One of the employees who answered my call hung up on me when I asked what her name was. I was told there was no fee to reclaim a dog and then a few days later told there will be one. I would like to know why the change of mind.

So apparently it is all over social media how this place was called over and over again due to a Dog left outside in freezing temperatures- the poor animal was crying and crying until he DIED!!! This staff needs new jobs - perhaps something they like to do! Preferably NOT around Pets!!! How do you sleep at night????? The post is going VIRAL!

I would highly suggest that you go elsewhere to adopt a pet. These people are rude, nasty, and blatantly racist.
