After my usual stylist moved I went to 8 different salons to get my hair colored, cut, and styled but could never find anywhere that I liked, muchless have an affordable price. Then I came across this salon and I have to say I adored all of the stylists. The salon itself gives of a comfortable feel and everyone is super nice. Not to mention that the prices were good especially for how amazing the cut and color was.

Wow...what a wonderful woman Carolina is. The minute you walk in her shop she exudes such a welcoming spirit. She is a genuine person and does super at her craft. This is definitely her passion. Thank you Carolina for my new do. I love it!

Always a little nervous about finding a new stylist when I move, Mychal did an Amazing job at putting those fears to rest. An excellent personality combined with great skills, is why Mychal is now my hair stylist! A true breath of fresh air.

If I could give them negative stars, I would. This was hands down the worst customer service experience I have had in over 15 years of getting my hair colored. To make a long story short, I went to Megan for a color/cut in mid February 2016 for a 5:45 appointment. I was looking for lots of caramel/blonde in the top half of my hair, and a dark, rich brown towards the bottom. What I ended up with were two toned highlights – yes TWO different blondes on the same strand of hair. When I left at almost 9 pm I wasn’t sure about it but didn’t realize what a disaster it was until I got home. I texted Megan and she responded saying “she was afraid that might happen, and she was so sorry.” I’m thinking “wait, you charged me $170 (and I tipped you! So $195) and you’re telling me you weren’t sure about it?” I went back in, tried to be nice, and she toned my hair to try to bring the two different blondes closer in color. She was satisfied with one toning, but I wasn’t, so she did it again. My scalp was burning, but at least my hair looked more normal after the second round. During this she apologized again saying “she made some bad judgment calls, it was late, and she shouldn’t have let me leave like that.” I didn’t ask for any money back then but I left incredibly disappointed. My hair was “just ok” and nowhere near what I originally asked for or wanted. I was going to just live with it and wait until it was time to get it colored again and go to someone else, but three weeks later I noticed the bottom of my hair, which was originally a rich chocolate brown, was fading! It faded all the way to a brassy light brown – I have never had that happen. So I contacted Megan again, this time understandably more agitated, and she responded that “hair fades over time.” I have had rich dark colors on my hair before and they never budged, certainly not fading to several shades lighter. I asked her for at least a partial refund and she refused. I even e-mailed the owner of Bamboo, Carolina Matias, through their website telling her what happened thinking she would care about what goes on in her salon, and never heard back from her either. Megan didn’t only lose my business but also my mom’s, who was horrified at the whole thing, especially Megan’s lack of professionalism. I have since found an amazing stylist who was able to give me exactly what I was looking for, and guess what; it’s been almost two months and zero fading.
