At first I was skeptical about going there because of the two star rating but now I know they were being too generous. Absolutely terrible customer service. 1/10 would NOT recommend.

I've never felt more disrespected in my life. I've had an account with BOFA for at least 5 years but it's likely more in the 7-8 year range. I moved to Denver from San Antonio in July 2015 - unbeknownst to me, there is literally ONE actual BOFA in Denver whereas in San Antonio they are on literally every corner. I misplaced my debit card a couple of months ago and promptly spent over 45 minutes on their automated line to receive another. I was told I'd have to go to the one and only banking center in Denver to verify something and that they wouldn't be able to mail it to me. I work 50+ hours a week and go to school full time. Going to the one center Denver offers 35 minutes away from my house is NOT an option. I've called probably close to 10 times BEGGING to verify who I am over the phone, no dice. So what do I do? I opened an account elsewhere and have been transferring my direct deposit (the company I work for requires direct deposits) every pay day since. Why wouldn't I just change my direct deposit location? Because without being able to access/clear out my account in person BOFA charges me for 'maintenance' if I don't meet their BULLSHIT minimum amount or direct deposit. These criminals hold you hostage in Denver. I was INSIDE their ONE Denver location for an hour this morning trying to close my account. The furthest I got was making my balance zero but I had a class to catch so I couldn't wait another 20 minutes than I already had to actually cancel it. My headphones are plugged in because I've been on hold with their AWFUL customer service 800 number for 34 minutes and no ones answered the phone. I'm livid. This is ridiculous. Oh wait someone just answered at 38 minutes on hold.

I will cancel my boa account .

Great service less than five minutes to wait most of the staff are very courteous.
