My review is primarliy about the Bank of America in general, and additionally about the support (lack of) received at this branch. I have had business and personal accounts with BOA for a number of years. My primary relationship/point of contact for most of that time was down in San Diego, where my business is located. I moved about 8 months ago to Shelton, Washington. Prior to a couple months ago, i never had a monthly charge on my personal account. I was told when i switched to BOA that so long as i had a business account, and was paying the monthly fee for that associated business account, that i would not have a charge on my personal account. This was true until shortly after I moved here. Once i started being charged this fee recently, i tried to stop into this local branch (the only one near me) and ask about it. The manager i spoke with here would do nothing to help me. In addition to telling me she had never heard of not being charged the fee if you have an associated business account... when she mentioned the monthly fee amount, the amount she mentioned was lower than what i was being charged. I was being charged MORE than what was printed on their brochure there in the branch. When i asked about that, she said that perhaps California accounts have different amounts. ?!?! She suggested that i call and speak with my personal banker down in San Diego. I tried to do so, but they told me that he was no longer with the company. One of his associates, whom i had spoken with in the past in the branch, refused to discuss anything over the phone, as he could not "verify my identity" (again, we had met in person before). So, i just called and spoke with a BOA representative on the phone. It was quite an insulting conversation. I was told by someone named Kathy Kolt (she lowered her voice when she told me her name - and i had to press for it - so i'm skeptical that it was her real name) that there was no such thing as not being charged that monthly fee if you have the business account. I asked her a very simple question... please explain to me that if that was the case, how was it that i had never been charged this fee for several years? She looked at the account, and told me that one of the branch employees in San Diego had gone into my account and put a waiver in my account to not charge me those fees... and it had lasted several years. But that this was a personal decision by that employee and not policy. She even commented that this seems far fetched. Seriously people? I feel like i've been called a liar, and that never having been charged those monthly fees was just... coincidence..? And as an aside, i asked about a recent overdraft item of $35 on my personal account. They cleared a check before they cleared a deposit, both occurred on the same day, which resulted in a temporary negative of $7 before the deposit posted. She told me that while she does the discretion to waive items on a case by case basis, she would not do so for me. How is that for telling a very long term customer that he means absolutely nothing to them. Lost me as a customer with that comment.

Bank of America is starting to charge way too much. I've banked with them for 20 yrs, but they're about to lose a customer
