Let me start by saying that I had an incredible experience at the Bar Harbor Bicycle Shop and with each of the staff members I interacted with. I rented a road bike for a week at the end of August while my family was vacationing in Acadia. The bike ran incredibly well, the staff was attentive and the price was right. I honestly can't say enough about the shop and the staff. I will absolutely rent there again when I am back in Maine.

The staff in the service shop was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. One gentleman helped us fix several issues we were having with our own bike rack and bike and didn't even charge us for the service. We will definitely come back when we need to make an actual purchase! Thank you!

While visiting Acadia Park I wanted to experience the loop road on a road bike. The staff was very helpful and took time while busy to show me what was available in my size. They suggested the most economical way for me to get in an early morning ride. I was even given a free upgrade because they did not have a bike in my size in the less expensive model. 
I will definitely rent from them again on my next visit.

These guys are the absolute best! I've been here twice and every time they're absolute hoots and wicked helpful. Ask them how to get to Witch Hole (which hole?); they'll love ya!
