I've been seeing Dr. Akoto for a year and a half now. I feel like she's attentive, knowledgeable, and caring. She seems set in her ways and if she doesn't approve of something you say, or do, she will definitely let you know. She's been nothing but respectful toward me. The reason I'm giving 3 stars isn't because she's not a good physician. It's because I have an issue with the amount of time I spend in the office. I have never, not once in a year & a half, been there for less than 2 hours. I only see Dr. Akoto for maybe 5-10 minutes each visit. I have some serious issues with having to sit in a waiting room for a minimum of an hour, being taken to an exam room, and then having to wait for at least another hour. I feel that it's sending a message that my time isn't important. I once saw a patient complain tactfully about the wait time. She was promptly instructed to leave the office, find another physician, and never return. True story! Saw it with my own eyes. So, to wrap it up.... Dr. Akoto is a good physician BUT if you're expecting to get in and out in less than 2 hours, you will be disappointed. Is she worth the wait? In my opinion, yes.

If i could give ZERO stars , i would!! 
she's slow with responding to concerns with a patients and refills, her and her staff is rude and unprofessional. They made me waiting for 45 minutes for nothing!!!! My appointments was at 3pm, because i have back to work at 4. And it's 45 minutes from Philadelphia rd to where i work. They called me and made me waiting outside for 30 minutes and made me waiting in the room for 15 minutes for nothing, at the end they're just gave me my paper work from outside. This doctor with greasy face didnt even smile and apologized because slow response and made me waiting. She just said "hi, how are you?" With straight face 😐. 
I wish i didn't have go back to that doctor.

Rude staff and doctor. My appointment was at 10 and wasn't seen until 1pm. Most offices walk there new patients to the room not tell them to find room number five. I walked out of the office. I would not recommend her to anyone!

I love her. She has been very kind to me and thorough with answering my questions and dealing with my health concerns. I've only been there three times but each time I went I didn't have any issues.

If I could give 0 stars I would. If it wasn't so hard to find doctors with openings who take my insurance I would have left after the first vist. This office ONLY cares about getting paid. I have been asked to Google my symptoms and "What do you think you have?" What kind of Doctor tells you to Google your symptoms? After waiting an hour past your appointment time just to get in a room, be prepared to wait another fourth five minutes to see Dr. Akoto. She will then come in and insult you. When I've expressed concerns and asked for tests I was told that if I wanted to be the doctor I can go to med school. Absolutely awful. You're better off going to the health department.
