My dog loves it nice park

Took my dog to this place for more than 6 months, 3-4 times a week - absolutely loved it. Had only minor incidents with other dogs (overly aggressively playful, nothing more) until one crowded Saturday when my dog was attacked by two huskies seconds after she walked through the gate, doing nothing but sniffing the ground.

There was easily 20 people within 30 feet of us, but not a single person came over to help as I was trying to get my dog out from under the two huskies. On top of that, even as I was screaming for the owner, not a single person came to take responsibility. Reported the incident to the police and made a formal complaint to the park district and over a year later, they have not yet found the owners or revoked their privileges to my knowledge.

Moral of the story: beautiful park, but like any other park there are some extremely irresponsible owners who use it. Be extremely cautious.

Love going to the Bark Park, it is very clean and most of the people are responsible dog owners. You still should be cautious because dogs are dogs. I have had two incodences her with my dog. One was over dominence and the other was overly posessive on toys. Nothing major the other owners and I were able to defuse the situation very quick.

Having to have the dog for a few years prior to getting in seems a bit odd but the price is right and the grounds are nice.
