Bark Rescue Pub
"Bark, A Rescue Pub is a restaurant where guests can interact with dogs and cats either before or after dining or drinks. Visitors enjoy elevated pub food knowing their dining experience is providing help to a local animal shelter.Bark’s mission is to be an extension of the adoption process at the Spokane Humane Society. Bark specifically sought out partnership with the Spokane Humane Society because of their loyal commitment to care for and love every animal. The shelter dogs and cats have their own team of caretakers separate from restaurant staff. They live in their own area separate but accessible from the restaurant. This gives guests an interactive experience to meet, fall in love with and maybe adopt a new pet."

We made a reservation ahead of time and were seated immediately. Others, without a reservation were turned away. So definitely reserve a spot, especially on big event nights. The menu was limited, due to the Gabriel Inglesias show, however that wasn't a big deal. I wanted the bloody Mary with the bacon, pretzel, slider, shrimp, etc- but was informed that's only a brunch option. The awesome waiter/bartender could see my disappointment, so he got me the drink [without the slider] and charged the extra goodies as sides to my bloody Mary. So I had a delicious drink with a snack. We ordered the fry board, the amount of food was worth the $17- sweet potatoes, regular fries, tater tots, and chips all with delicious dipping sauces. My husband got the chicken wrap with a side salad. He also ordered the Shilling mango drink. Shout out to Kenyatta, our server, your kindness was appreciated!!
Bark is a great concept. Dog adoption, food, and spirits. This was my second time visiting this establishment. I was very impressed at first with the food and staff on my first visit. My second go-around was not as great. Service was very slow. The food looked excellent but honestly lacked flavors. It might have been the items that were ordered. My first experience with their food was very positive. All in all, my family and I had a good time. I want to come back and try their huge selection of beers and spirits. I'm hesitant to check out the dog section. I know i would be leaving with some furry four-legged pup, lol. We will be back to Bark , it's too unique of a place not to give it multiple visits.
We came here because of the affiliation with the Spokane Humane Society. It was a super nice and calm atmosphere, super kind and friendly servers/staff, as well as amazing food. Absolutely would recommend to anyone in the area. In the back of the restaurant near the restrooms they have a wall with all the adoptions they have affiliated, as well as an adoption center. Vegetarian options: There's about a third of the menu that is vegetarian friendly. Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian friendly, as well as clearly labeled spicy dishes, vegan dishes, gluten free dishes, and some dishes that aren't gluten free can be made gluten free. Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly, servers are very patient and kind. Wheelchair accessibility: Fully wheelchair accessable.
If you have a dog you need yo visit Bark! It was a beautiful setting on the patio for you and your dog. The food was delicious! And, they even have a menu for your furry friend! They will also bring your dog a fresh bowl of water. After you finish dining, for a $5 donation, you can go visit and spend time with local pets that available for adoption. If that were not enough, there is even a gift shop where you can purchase treats and really cute toys for your fur baby.
The pets experience was really pleasant… loved the pets and people were friendly. The food was not good at all. We ordered a chicken burger, fish and chips, the pasta and the brownie sundae. The chicken patty was burnt and tasted like it was very old. The fish was over fried and burnt. The pasta was soupy with no taste whatsoever. All the dishes basically lacked any kind of seasoning. The brownie was of size 2x2 small square. It was hard and overly sweet. Did not like the food at all. We took two drinks. Drinks didn’t have tequila or vodkas at all …. It was only soda and the flavor and ice. I will give 5/5 for the pet/animals experience. But 0/5 for the restaurant.
Bark, A Rescue Pub is one of the best new experiences I have had in Spokane! They offer amazing brunch, lunch, and dinner options, and even vegetarian options for our animal lovers! If the amazing food wasn’t enough, the have a facility inside of the restaurant that is home to the Spokane humane society. You can go and pet and even adopt furry friends after having a drink or a meal! I would 10/10 recommend anyone who is an avid animal lover or anyone who enjoys delicious food to come check them out!
I have been here multiple times and have had great staff and great food. This time the staff was great and the drinks were storing, but the food was mediocre. We got the fried cauliflower bites for $15. I swear what it tasted like was they through some frozen breaded cauliflower in the air fryer, put it on some lettuce, and threw bbq on there and called it good. Needless to say it wasn’t tasty. Same with the oranges and goat cheese salad. The honey chicken sandwich was ok, but what was really good was the dog pretzel bones!!! So tasty Overall, I will come back here, but maybe will avoid some certain food items.
The concept was great! We loved that it supports an animal shelter. It was dog friendly and the had accommodations for dogs. The food was tasty. The service was really slow and we had to wait for silverware. We really enjoyed the patio.Food: 4/5
What a novel idea! We stopped here for lunch and critter cuddles. It's awesome to have the SPCA linked to the pub and the dog theme carried throughout. Plus, the food was amazing! The huckleberry lemonade was tart, the meowmosa adorable, and the Reuben delicious. The mandarin orange salad was well balanced.Food: 5/5
Drinks were awesome! I had a pear cider on left it was not too sweet and enjoyable with food. I tried the chicken avocado wrap with sweet potato fries and I couldn’t have had a better lunch that day. Atmosphere is so welcoming. Our server was great! I love the whole idea of this place. Definitely recommend.
