Story

The Monday Night Acoustic Jam is held at Barley's on West Broadway in downtown Maryville, TN. Hosted by Mike McQueen, this jam/open mic started on October 7th, 2013. Musicians bring your acoustic instruments and some songs to play and be ready to have a good time. All styles of music welcome.

We had a family get-together and they gave us our own private space upstairs......very nice. Food was great. I had the shrimp and grits......excellent with just the right intensity of seasoning. Very satisfied with the service and food, as well as the atmosphere.

I love the ambiance here. I've always had excellent service. I just don't think the food is that great. We used to go here on company-paid outings, so I've tried just about everything on the menu and they've all been...fine? Nothing really melts my butter. Solid enough, but there are much better options.

Have dined here since it's opening. Food is very good but the menu has changed very little over the years. Pizzas are good but not consistent. Changes in the sausage took us by surprise and not in a good way. Very good craft beer selection but the list the server presents to you is never up to date and the server has no idea what the "off list" selections are - another bad decision was to limit the draft selection by a change in their policy to only serve the beers from taps located on the level of the restaurant where you are dining. Service is their biggest issue. Very spotty. Recent visit and the server disappeared for most of the meal, left me waiting for a second drink which, after I was finally able to get ordered, she brought well after I had finished the meal. Manager came out and gave a half-hearted apology since they were "busy." Unfortunate that this casual restaurant, with great ambiance, has suffered such a decline in service. We have had some great servers but that has become much more the exception of late. Same owners have Aubreys, a nearby restaurant, where the service is always great. Management is the issue.

So yummy. We had the gravy fries for an app; an execellent take on poutine. My kids had grilled cheeses that would make you jealous. My husband and I both ordered the shrimp and grits and ate every last bite. My only "complaint" was that my drink was too strong - which is really no problem at all. Next time I will just order a tall. It was foodie food.

Great place for good food and drinks. Pool room is a bonus. Nice atmosphere and great service.
