In an age where on line retailers are dominating, this location is a throwback to a time when stores are expansive, selection is broad and service plentiful. There are two floors of books covering topics from kids and early readers to art and religion. Acknowledging the changing retailing landscape, there's also a sizable selection of toys, board games and collectibles. The toys are broken into age groups and tend to be of an educational focus. There's a dedicated section for the B&N's nook reader as well. Additionally there is a cafe that serves Starbucks coffee which honors the B&N club discount. Next to the cafe is an entire section devoted to used and discount books. The kids area is bright and stocked with plenty of age appropriate books for multiple age and skill levels. Shopping here is a pleasure. Even though I prefer to do most of my shopping on line, this location manages to be enticing.

I went in to resolve a confusing transaction and I met with your employee Crystal. She was a cashier. She was very kind and super helpful. I can tell she is dedicated to her job.

This is the biggest B&N in all of Rochester, and honestly the only one worth going to. The selection of books, both used and new, is staggering. The number and variety of vinyl albums, Criterion films, and other collector items is why I keep coming back. There is ample seating both at the Starbucks and around the store. That being said, good luck finding a seat because this place can get busy! I've never had an issue with the employees. They are all friendly and knowledgeable about what books to recommend and where they are located.

Rude staff: How many Starbucks emblems can you count from the counter? I saw five, and I’m sure that there are more. Better question: Did you see were it says that they do not accept Starbucks gift cards? Of course not, because it's not displayed. It's pretty bad that you don't take Starbucks gift cards in the first place, but I wouldn't have purchased a drink if I had known that I can't use my Starbucks gift card. Customer service tip: the appropriate response would be: “I’m sorry, we don’t take starbucks gift cards” instead of saying, with a snotty attitude, “we are not a Starbucks, we only sell their coffee”.
