My family loves the dog park at this location. It's definitely the best around. Our dog goes every day, we've been going for the past six years or so, and we've never had an instance of a truly aggressive dog there. Any dog will give a warning or defend itself if it's above its threshold, and that could be anything from the number of dogs in the area to the activity level. There are some scuffles here and there, which is to be expected in a public area with off-leash dogs that don't necessarily know each other. Your average dog lover knows very little about behavior and body language. As far as the park itself goes, the footing is decent (albeit a little dusty, but definitely better than other parks). There's not too much in the way of aesthetics, but it's a place for animals to play, not a picturesque landscape for us humans to ogle at. They have waste bag dispensers and a water pump. My only "real" complaint is that I've noticed an overwhelming odor of urine in the walk-in area. I contribute that to the barrier on the fence being peed on consistently over time and being unable to be thoroughly washed. Overall a great dog park environment, lovely dogs more often than not, and typically friendly and attentive handlers with very few negative experiences (although some are hilarious in hindsight because some folks can be ridiculous on the rare occasion).

I love taking my chiweenie to the dog park here. It could use some renovation but for a free dog park it is great. Brock always has fun when he goes and there are always plenty of dogs for him to play with.

We loved to bring our dog here. The separation of big and little dogs is a really nice touch for little dogs who can't hang with the big ones. We did end up taking our medium size Carine Terrier into the big dog side though because there is a lot more room to run. We often had it to ourselves depending on the time of day, but I will say we started avoiding it on busy times (Saturday mornings) because a lot of people would be in the park with their pet but ignore them. One lady even brought a dog in heat!! I have had people give my dogs treats (which I don't care about what he eats but it made him a target when he had something and other dogs wanted it). I have also been there when the County shows up to check licenses and rabies tags and it is scary how quickly the park empties out (guess those are the ones who don't follow the rules). It is a great resource just be cautious of who is around.
