So glad the weather is cooling down so we can take our dog walks to Barrio for a fresh loaf.  Best bread in town and such a friendly place to visit.  His breads are truly an art form.

Daily routine- walk the dogs by Barrio Bread. Wave, greeted with a smile always, Sometimes get a treat but always buy a loaf. Jalapeño Chedder makes everything better.

Barrio Bread is made with "only the best ingredients" (how the Baker described his method)-- for example, he uses wild yeast instead of commercial yeast. He has been 20 years learning and perfecting his craft. This explains why his bread tastes so noticeably better than any other bread I have ever eaten here in Tucson. (I have lived here since 1978; so, I have a very broad base of comparison.)  It's fun to go into the Bakery because the actual baking of the bread is visible right there where one buys it. Nothing like going home with a purchase of bread still warm from the oven!

I read about Barrio months ago and forgot where it was. Was at a a restaurant and leaving and found it. Turned around because it was open and boy am I glad. Great bread and have tried some breads that are only made on certain days which I just found out. I have let lots of friends taste it and everyone has loved it.

Nothing I can say here will encompass the magnitude of awesomeness that is their bread. 11/5 stars. Amazing.
