I don't know if it was a server or a kitchen problem that night, but it took forever for anything to arrive. We were promptly seated when we arrived. I had to ask our server three times for a glass of water. Three tables who were seated after us received their dinner before us. It took close to an hour. By then, we just asked our server to box up the food because we needed to get home to relieve the babysitter. The food is okay. I ordered a burger medium done that came out as well done. My spouse ordered the pulled pork which he said was okay. He's had better.

My dad & I went up for dinner on Wednesday (Queen of Hearts night). We arrived around 6:20, asked for a table. The hostess said it would be about an hour wait and all tables were reserved. I asked if the bar is first come first serve, she said yes. While I was looking I noticed a couple sitting at a table that had 4 available chairs. I asked the couple if they were waiting for anyone, they said no and we could sit with them. We started talking, the hostess went past, we asked for a menu, she walked away, came back with DOUG who proceeded to lean into my 68 year old father and said "You have to leave now". I was a little confused since the couple had said we could sit there with them?? He was SO RUDE. I used to be a waitress/bartender and my father owns his own business so we are both pretty used to dealing with the public and understand that some days are better than other. If I was the owner of this restaurant, DOUG would be fired. I would not except anything less than him being removed from dealing with your customers. Food has always been good.... I patronized this place all last year during the Queen of Hearts. To make matters worse, my best friend and her mother have a "sitting reservation" every Wed. She texted me and said no one had been seated in those seats the entire evening. Food good -service sucks.

January 19, 2017 my family and I went to have a birthday dinner for me. I went to the hostess and I said four please. She told me it would be 25-30 minute wait. I told her okay. She just looked at me. I thought that was it so I went back to my husband and told him we have a 25-30 minute wait. Fifteen minutes went by and I noticed as soon as other customers came in and told the young lady how many were in their party she immediately would ask for their name and gave them a pager. I went up and I questioned her this and told her I came up to her 15 minutes ago and she never asked me for my name so does that mean I have to wait longer now? She said unfortunately yes your wait is now 1 hour. I told her I was already up here 15 minutes ago and she never took my name or gave me a pager. She told me she didn't know I wanted to stay. I told her that I said okay when she told me 25 minutes to 30 minutes of a wait and she just looked at me. I should have known better to give my name, however, in this circumstance I did not give it.  So therefore we probably won't be going back with this type of hostess which is a shame. The very first person you come in contact with at a business is the one who gets customers to stay and come back. This young girl was very rude

Food is always excellent here. their barbecue sauce is very very good. I'm never disappointed in anything that I order. They have a lot of traditional Southern dinners. The corn bread is Southern style it's not sweet.

This is a very fun place. The service was great, the food was good. We didn't have to wait long to get a seat. Once in, our server was attentive and the food came out quickly and all at one time. I highly recommend this place
