Had a nice experience adopting a cat. The staff are very friendly and informative. You can see their devotion to the animals, the kennels are clean and the animals are not stressed. I get the feeling it is supported by the community, which is great.

We have adopted multiple pets from the shelter and only one developed health issues. The shelter provided appropriate support. On ALL of my visits to the shelter, the staff has been courteous, helpful, professional, and friendly. The current manager, Angela K., is a knowledgeable and straight-forward professional and consistently demonstrates excellent managerial ability and skills. We have been adopting pets from it since it opened. Wonderful place; excellent staff. a definite credit to Bartlett.

It smells bad in there, like really really really bad, but the animals are so sweet that they make up for it. From what I have heard from close friends and relatives, the people that work their have very bad attitudes, dont care very well for the pets, and if you get a pet their you need to get it checked for worms by a vet or it will end up having them and spread it to your other pets. You shouldn't have to do that, but you do, other than that I would say its a pretty good shelter.

I got my two amazing cats, Tinsel and Melon, from the Bartlett Animal Shelter. The people here were extremely friendly and helpful. Both cats came to me with great temperaments and clean bills of health. All paperwork was in order, and both cats came with full vaccinations and microchips. On top of all this, I found their pricing and process very reasonable, at least compared to what I have experienced with adoption in NJ.

I just wanted to ad that I had to give my dog away of nine years because I was going away somewhere for a while. They were very nice to me from the minute I walked in and even though my dog was older and on medication this woman Amy gave me an options and I can tell the people inside really want to help the customers.
