Great Southeast Asian fast casual option just north of Eaton Centre! I frequently eat fast casual, and I like to try new, local options—rather than the major national and local international chains—when I can. The fresh, flavourful food and fast, friendly service will have me coming back!Food: 5/5
I ordered from here a couple of times and overall its good food!! Its healthy with the 2 protein options & unlimited end toppings and filling. Its semi-expensive for the portion I received though it might just be me, but the atmosphere is a good place to study & do work. Its right near the TMU SLC building, so thats a plus!! If its still happening, I 100% recommend the $8 plus tax street frites bundle with drink and brownie bite. I think its a limited time offer for the first month of school, but the taste of the frites was so mouthwatering alongside the drink I order the thai iced tea.
I went here for a quick lunch during the busy Monday with my colleague as we were running a bit tight on timings due to a busy day of the work week, this place is just few steps walk from Yonge & Dundas and the food is healthy and good. They have pre-set meals too but I decided to go ahead with make my own choice and the overall experience was good.
This is a good place for quick bite ! However you can have better meals in The area with same kind of budget . This area has a blaze pizza ; queen street nearby has plethora optionsFood: 4/5
Omg. I've been wanting to try a new place. Love the build your box. The service was great. Guys told me all about the sauces. Th3 peanut sauce is a must try. Loved, good pricing to for the amount of food. I even told them not to put a full portion of rice and it was still a lot Good food and fair priced.
Great Staff & amazing service! I like this branch as you can feel very relaxing and spacious, high ceiling with lots of sunlight throughout the window. Fantastic location!!!!! When I was thinking about shrimp and steak in a dilemma circumstance to build my own box, but their staff told me that I can do half & half. I really appreciate their attentive, love the shrimp and steak. They cooked it fresh for me. Well, their spring rolls was really good too with the special source, unfortunately I cannot remember the name correctly. It should be something like pineapple. I love their fries too, you can add extra lemongrass chicken on the top by paying extra. This is what I did on the picture. I shared this with my friends during tea time. This time I gave up my always favorite Thai ice tea instead of Soda, it's really refreshing. It should be called rose soda or something like this.
Right in the heart of downtown Toronto, Basil Box is a great option whenever I want a meal that is healthy, not heavy, and affordable. I had the chance to try their MVB- most valuable boxes. These amerprotein and fibre packed boxes at a great price. In addition, you also get a free Iced Tea with the purchase of an MVB. You get the choice of Signature Chicken, Healthy Steak, and Yuzu Tofu. The Yuan Tofu was so flavourful and the Healthy Steak was savoury and delicious. The Iced Teas paired perfectly with the MVBs. The spring rolls were surprisingly not oily and extra crispy. Last but not least, the the Bahn Mi fries were superb. Can't wait to come back for some more!
We had the opportunity to try Pad Thai, Basil Chicken, and Butterfly Shrimp, and all three dishes were delicious. The chicken, in particular, stood out as exceptionally tasty. However, our dining experience encountered a minor issue with the service. When I placed our orders with the server, he instructed us to wait for approximately 10 minutes. We patiently waited on the side, and when the specified time had elapsed, I approached the server again. To my surprise, he exclaimed, "Oh, I thought you had left, so I didn't process your orders." I reminded him that he had explicitly asked us to wait for 10 minutes. Nevertheless, he promptly acknowledged the misunderstanding and kindly informed us that we wouldn't be charged for the Butterfly Shrimp. Despite this hiccup, everything else was enjoyable and satisfying.
This Basil Box has really caring staff and great attention to your food preparation. We appreciate that they offer a few more than the Eaton Centre food court's Basil Box. Worth coming over to this location instead! The staff are very accommodating and gives great recommendations. They served another customer that has a dietary concern and flagged any available options they could eat. They also offered customizing to their preference and suggested great alternatives. Good healthy choices! They have a lot of good custom order option/set up so that you can mix and match. This location offers additional Satay Seasoned Fried Egg for additional cost and #4 Sauce option of Saigon Curry which is not common. We usually get the Chili Lime Shrimp which is pretty spicy and delicious! This location offers sautéed eggplant and charred sweet potatoes which is great as well. Really good value and carries well! Vegetarian options: Lots of great vegetarian mixed options with dietary recommendations as well.
Second time around... Had the lemongrass chicken poutine. Yes! Fries with curds, lemongrass boneless chicken pieces and a spicy gravy . Garnished with shredded carrots, fried onions, coriander and red Thai chillies. Delicious, spicy and flavorful from the lemongrass. First time here. Friendly staff. I had the coconut curry tofu. They build the "box" in layers first the noodles, edamame, sweet potato, tofu, choice of curry and garnish with sesame seeds, fried onions, cilantro, red Thai chili peppers, peanut... There's lots more to choose from and healthy food.
