Overall BR was pretty much as usual, people were helpful and nice. Place around is not comfortable at all. Homeless people sleep under the door, you can imagine a smell. Parking is very busy and I was able to park from third attempt because no space was available.
Love this place. Very small store but very efficient and friendly plus they have all my favorite ice creams on the cones / cups of all sizes/ shakes and smoothies. And for the rest of your cravings just switch and swing next door 7/11 . you would also find some Peruvian food across from Barrington Plaza on North Westside of Wilshire Blvd crossings Barrington .
I have been here several times with no issue when just ordering flavors I already knew I liked, but this is not the place for you if you want to actually try a few flavors to decide which ones you actually want. I almost left without ordering anything, but instead I asked to speak to the owner. I understand a 3 flavor sample limit if you are ordering a scoop of ice cream, but this time I decided to do a triple waffle bowl and I wanted to get scoops of some new flavors that I haven't had before. After trying 3 only 1 of which I liked they said I couldn't try anymore. I'm sorry, then how am I supposed to pick out my next 2 scoops? The owner then let me try out a couple more after I complained, which thankfully I liked and ordered as my next 2 scoops. The owner tried to say it's their policy because other customers get mad at having to wait, but there was no one else there. I won't be returning; conflict ruined my craving for ice cream. They lost a long-time customer that lives down the street.
They do ice cream well. I've enjoyed my favorites there in various cities through my life. Great childhood memories. Knowing now what I didn't know then about the horrors of the dairy industry, would appreciate seeing non-dairy frozen treats at BR.
Worst service ever very rude workers and they were mean the ice cream was good but the bad feeling from the service ruined the taste.
Luv me my coke floats but very often they have no coke. I've had to go to 711 next-door and buy a coke my self....and be charged full price. The counter servers are very nice and accommodating all the time*
sometimes we go here to take a break from work and indulge in decadent frozen treats. the staff is always helpful and the ice cream is ALWAYS delicious. HINT: don't be afraid to ask for a sample of various flavors.
Delicious ice cream and the Lady who helped us was really nice despite the fact that it was New Year's Eve and it was super crowded. There's sweet deals on the 31st of every month!
when the last day of the month is a 31st, each scoop only costs $1.50. my friends and i come here often for that deal. there is not too much parking and it's not the safest part of the neighborhood.
Banana Royales have always been a special treat, but this place must be trying to save money on ice cream, toppings and whipped cream, because mine was about half the size every other one I've ever had. Very disappointing, and I wonder if the server's child hanging out in the store had something to do with her being too distracted to do her job properly. I won't go back - $5.69 should get me better than that meager attempt.
