My mother, daughter and myself spent a little time with Investigator D. Newman today in regards to a complicated problem. We were seen very quickly and treated extremely well. I could not thank enough for the care and consideration we were given let alone the time that ran over close to help us work things out. We had a wonderful experience and exceedingly happy far beyond my expectations. We travel for a living, grew up in California, and have had previous experiences that did not end nearly as well. Was really nice to have souch a positive experience through what to us was a rather stressful ordeal. So THANK YOU!

Man gets knocked over on his bicycle die to unrestrained dogs running loose. He is injured pretty good. But saves ambulance call for someone more life threatening. Cops no show after waited 2 houses plus. Said it was an animal control issue. A 9mm was assaulted by an irresponsible dog owner and injured and and threatened by dog owner.if it had been an officer that dog owner wouk d be in jail.  Poor handling by Bastroo County Sheriff's office.

Nine times out of ten, these hard working dispatchers and officers get a thumbs up, but there's always one.  Saturday night, I called to report gunfire in my neighborhood - where it is prohibited.  I told the dispatcher there were gunshots coming from the vicinity of a loud party near my home.  She very abruptly informed me that there's no noise ordinance in the county.  I had to tell her, again, there were gunshots, and there actually IS a gun ordinance that applies to my area.  She sighed, and said she'd let them know.  Crappy attitude.

Johnathan Lee Hamilton was last known to be alive in this town ! Type 1 insulin dependant diabetic in dire need of medical attention. He used a good samaritan's cell phone stating he'd been robbed .He has never been seen or heard from since ! Missing almost 3 years ! No answers ! No Johnathan ! People don't just disappear off of the face of the earth  ! What's going on in Bastrop , Texas ?
