It was a good concept when it first opened but.....the produce is always moldy or rotten and they continue to put it on the shelves to purchase.  My tomatoes smelled like incense and I had to wash with soap twice before I could eat.  Honestly is this place for real?

I love this market!  Jacqui and Jim really do a tremendous service to make available the highest quality food in Bastrop County.

Every time I go into BPM I have a great experience!  Jackie is so much fun to talk with and share ideas with - she is very helpful at finding the sustainable products we need and is supportive of everyone who wants to live a local and sustainable lifestyle.  I go to BPM because they have everything from toiletries and herbal supplements to ready made dinners, veggies, the best fresh eggs in town and a delicious variety of honey.  You can even get your chicken feed and dog food here!  Some of BPM products may cost more than the grocery store BUT I know the people who are growing, making and selling the majority of products in the market and that to me is worth the few extra dollars I spend on the necessities.  It feels good to help my neighbors and friends make a living doing what they are passionate about - supplying us with fresh - high quality - foods and products.  Go Local!
