After a grueling day of traveling, we were happy to arrive at Baymont Roanoke Rapids. The building is handsome and the lobby bright and attractive. The friendly desk clerk sent us to Room 107, which seemed fresh and comfortable, with a large accessible bathroom. All was fine until shortly after we retired for the night, when we both began to itch. We turned on the lights discover the cause and, to our disgust, found an infestation of bedbugs in both beds and along the wall behind them. We killed 10 to 15 of the creatures, several of which were filled with our blood, and collected their carcasses. At checkout we presented them to the clerk, who seemed aghast, and said she'd contact the manager, who, she was sure, would be in touch with us about refunding the cost of our sleepless night. Having heard nothing from him, we contacted the Wyndham Worldwide Hotel Group a few days later. The district director soon sent us an email apologizing "for any inconvenience" and stating that he'd notified the franchisee of his expectation that he'd "take steps to address the situation adequately" and contact us directly. Several hours later we received an email from the general manager "regretting" our "unhappiness," assuring us that all rooms are "periodically treated," and offering us a 50% discount on our next stay. It goes without saying that there'll be no next stay: Bedbugs can't help but migrate from room to room with the housekeeping staff. Meanwhile the welts and itch from their bites linger.

Terrible. Bad. Major Sketch. Rooms with two large beds end up touching each other in the corners of the mattresses. Non-smoking rooms stink of smoke. Pool doesn't work. No discount nor refund offered. Beds are hard. The place sucks!! Whatever few dollars you think you are saving, YOU ARE NOT. Diminishing returns, my friends

Honestly, the only positive thing I can say is that the front desk staff was courteous and the sheets were clean. We had a reservation for a non-dmoking king, and when we arrived 30 minutes later they had none available, we had to take a smoking room to get a king. The room had definitely seen its better days. The bed was lumpy, the pillows were sad, I wouldn't walk on the floor in my bare feet, and we were definitely not using the facilities to get ready. We stayed a total of 6 hours, and then decided to just leave early and make it to our destination and get ready there. Was NOT a pleasant stay.

Clean enough. Friendly enough.. seen better days but not run down yet. Always a small thing wrong. Bulb out, A.c., struggling. Shower curtains improperly installed insure a flooded floor.

I had reserved a room for July 28 2017 at Baymont when I arrived the employee Shawn stated that they cancelled my reservation. He was very rude and unprofessional. My family had traveled over 9 hours and he told me go find another hotel. I had my 8 month old with us. It was 9:30 PM and raining. Than he had the audacity to bad mouth me to another customer not realizing she was a family member. Shawn also gave one of her rooms away too.I asked Shawn for a manager and he stated he was which is a lie. I contacted management Mr. Franklin and he stated he had to talk it over with the General Manager Ms. Patel. I gave them a week and didn't hear back. I than called the Wyndham hotline. I explained what happened. She stated give them a week to respond if you don't hear anything call us back. The following day i received an E mail Ms. Patel stating that they can credit me $45. Really what an insult to my intelligence. $45 is not even half of what the room was. So anyone in this area DO NOT reserve a room at Baymont. Now I will be contacting the N.C. Better Business Bureau. I can't not post till I click a star however I do not think they are even worth giving a star.
