This place is the bees knees. I was blown away how a small place in Vidor can be so good. I have made it a point to make this a stop when driving along i10 now. Sooo amazing.
The staff there is very informative and recommended my dishes which were great!Food: 4/5
The food is ok.... The boiled shrimp were red and had red liquid/oily stuff all over them. They did have a good flavor. I just didn't care for my fingers to be red and I had to use Dawn dishwashing liquid to get it off and fingernails stained. Fried catfish was on point w/a cornmeal batter as it should. Fried shrimp were good. French fries soggy. Boudin ball was ok, had an after taste I can't explain and do not care for it. Potato salad was ok, chunky and sweet. Mom's Banana Pudding is something to be desired. This restaurant does have a drive thru if that interests you.
It had been a while since I had enjoyed eating here. A colleague & I popped in and Maggie hooked us up with plates of delicious shrimp and crab enchiladas with veggies, a mound of rice & bread. Her suggestion of food was delish amongst a friendly dining atmosphere! I recommend you go get you some just as soon as you can!
Last weekend we walked in with 23 people at 3 pm after my son's funeral. We were all from out of town, Beaumont, Houston, Dallas, etc. Maggie and the crew were amazing. We were taken care of with ease and grace. The food was fresh and tasty. Maggie was a sweetheart! I will definitely go back while visiting Vidor in the future.
My husband and myself went to have lunch. It was so delicious as usual. We got the shrimp tacos. It was my husband's first time trying them from this restaurant. He approved haha. We will be back. The food is always great and the employees are all pleasant and working hard.Food: 5/5
Decided to stop here on our way back from Lake Charles. Tried the shrimp tacos based on there's reviews and they did not disappoint! It's been awhile since I've had a great shrimp tacos out in Texas. Service was great and place was clean . Highly recommend!Food: 5/5
Seriously awesome!! If you try anything on the menu, have the shrimp dip w/ their toasted bread!! It is one of the most amazing dishes. Great local place, offers a grilled optionthe grilled shrimp rock, very flavorful, not just a bunch of fried foods. Very quick service for both the drive-thru and dine-in. A coworker proclaims they have the best shrimp po'boy she's ever had.
The grilled shrimp tacos will change your life. Don't miss trying this place! Some of the best seafood in Southeast Texas, with a great owner who is passionate about bringing the very best food possible to his customers.Food: 5/5
The food tastes good. Nice folks. I had the grilled chicken sandwich and my friend had fried shrimp and fish. I can see why there are a lot of cars at lunch time.
