Food is a 2.5 star, except oysters which are a 5. Most of the food is fried, average seafood. This place is all about the beach vibe, so for fun beach shack atmosphere, it’s a 4.

Lots of atmosphere, a bit pricey, but the raw bar can't be beat. Super fresh, expertly shucked oysters, super meaty mussels. The fried food is fine. The lobster roll was a little bland. They charged $20 for parking but gave you a voucher good for food (or t-shirts) maybe because the town lot was closed because of dune collapse. Some of the reviews dinged the service here, but I found our waitress perfectly attentive and cheerful. Update: Went back another time, no charge for parking (6pm on a Friday) must figure no one will squat for beach parking. I had the Clambake, and the lobster was overcooked. I complained (at the end of the meal), and the manager knocked my bill down. I Think they still deserve 4 stars, if nothing else for the service, and everything else was terrific, though I think they need to up their lobster game.

Beachcomber is a nice little oceanside eatery with a great outdoor deck and views of the beach and ocean. The food here is good (not bad, not amazing either), but you come more for the ambiance of the place. Very young, hip "college" scene, with a nice beach to relax on after you're done with your meal. Great live shows at night, though it gets pretty crowded. If you're looking to mingle with old friends, and make new ones, this is the place to go. If you're looking for more peaceful relaxation, and blissful solitude, you'll need to to White Crest Beach or Lecount Hollow Beach, right down the road. Either way, a great way to spend a warm Cape summer day.

They closed the place down at 8pm and kick you out. Then charge a cover at 9. We ordered food at 7.25 and after we ordered they told us we had 35 mins to eat the overpriced and burnt crab cakes. I went last year for the first time and it was great. This year sucked. I won't be back.

Great spot! We try and make it out here twice a year. Wish they would stay open longer than just the short summer season.
