I frequent the refuge regularly. It is a fantastic spot to go bird watching. Hundreds of species of birds to watch throughout the year. I highly recommend visiting the refuge visitors center and auto tour route. One of my favorite bird watching places.

Tons of birds! We saw maybe 50-75 pelicans! So cool! In the winter they will have bald eagles! The drive is really long! That place is huge!

I love the auto tour here. There are tons of herons, ducks, pelicans, and geese. It is exciting to drive around and see so much diversity

This is a nice relaxing drive with beautiful scenery and fun birds. We saw several pelicans. Radio and cell phones work so that's a bonus. The only downside are the nasty bugs. I didn't want to get out of the car. Staff at the education are very nice.

Saw a ton of birds! Herons, sandpipers, pelicans, wrens, ibis, a few I couldn't name. A bit of a drive but worth it. Lots of educational signs and a pamphlet. Bring binoculars if you have them!
