This place has a great atmosphere and fills up fast, so booking ahead is important. The brunch options are diverse and all delicious. We ordered steak and egg, and the lemon pancakes. Don’t miss out their fresh juices — I tried the mango, orange and pineapple and it was great! You can also try to find a spot in the bar for a casual breakfast or lunch. As I stated in the Aloft hotel and they are connected, I went for a coffee and a tea a couple of times, and I sat in the bar. Plus, the location is perfect for exploring Downtown Chicago.
Place was beautiful and particularly in the summer they have floor to ceiling windows that open up and allow for the air and sun to come in. Very nice! The service was good. We jaded the green juice which was not great. Too much ice on the drink and not enough green substance. They unfortunately do not have a salad option for breakfast. I ordered the eggs woth the turkey bacon and they were delicious. The ham and cheese croissant sandwich was very good! The avocado toqst was good, but we had better toasts in chicago. See my other chicago reviews. The almond latte was also good. Overall a solid place to have brunch in chicago. We had better brunches on this trip, but this one is still good. Dietary restrictions: Gluten and dairy free alternatives.
I made the reservation and at first it was a little confusing because there were a lot of people and the space to wait for a table was small and in the way of waiters. However, the service was excellent and the quality and flavor of the plates were different. Everything was delicious! Highlight for the strawberry and coconut cream dessert.
Everyone in my party enjoyed their food. The pistachio covered whitefish, chicken Bebe, and burgers were very good. We also enjoyed the chicken meatballs and the Caesar salad. We were seated near the back of the restaurant which is connected to a hotel lobby. I docked a star for atmosphere for that reason. I didn’t care for that. Otherwise the food was above average and we didn’t wait long for it to come out.
Beatrix is an awesome place for any meal in Chicago. Owned by Lettuce Entertain - they had great options for celiac - gluten free customers. We loved the breakfast so much we came back here three days in a row. The ham and cheese croissant was excellent, the mustard they served with it really elevated the plate. The avocado toast is one of the best I’ve had - perfect ratio of avocado and toppings to the thick piece of bread. I got it with a side of fruit and the fruit also had a great assortment. The star of the dinner for me was the lemon garlic chicken. The fries were warm and came in a Greek style with feta. Overall you can’t go wrong eating anything here, definitely check them out!
I had a spicy chicken and honey sandwich with a fried egg. It was decent, but the chicken was dry which left very to be desired. Not sure if I just was there on an off day or what. Id be willing to go back but would maybe try something else. Wheelchair accessibility: They have a door right on ground floor
Great place to have a brunch, they were careful about allergies and intolerances. They have vegan cookies and donuts. The avocado toast with scrambled eggs was amazing! Unfortunately the hazelnut mocha was too sweet, no flavor at all, just sugar : Dietary restrictions: Vegan options
Dynamite food. Vibrant atmosphere. Friendly staff. Breakfast burrito is among the best I've ever had. Also check out the mushroom teriyaki bowl. Good cocktail menu as well. Service can be a bit slow in the morning so be prepared if you are in a hurry. Takeout coffee and baked goods as well.Food: 5/5
I love Beatrix! I brought some Asheville, NC friends here for dinner on a Saturday night because I knew it would be vegan/vegetarian friendly and delicious. I was so happy we could get a table without a reservation even though the restaurant was pretty crowded. Our server made great suggestions and we enjoyed sharing the brussels sprouts and vegetarian hummingbird cake our server said it was vegan so we got excited, but found out it was vegetarian afterwards. I enjoyed the pear arugula salad- so filling! I can’t remember what non-alcoholic drink I had, but it was really good. My friends enjoyed their dishes and were thrilled to see the restaurant carried Eris beer since they just came from the brewery before meeting with me for dinner. Great location in River North, excellently prepared food and wonderful staff- we had a really nice dinner and Beatrix will always be a top choice to bring plant based eaters and out of town guests for me
Great spot for brunch as their food, cocktails, and service were awesome. The pineapple habanero margarita was the perfect combination of spice and sweet. They were able to accommodate us and make it less sweet as well. The food we had was very good. Their whole main section on the brunch menu sounded great, so you can’t go wrong with anything there. We loved the Shakshouka and Migas egg scramble. Definitely will be back again for brunch.
