The Beaumont Police department is lazy and rude. My identity was stolen and the crime happened in Beaumont, CA. I live in another state they refused to take a police report so that I could start the process to stop the identity theft. They are RUDE and LAZY!!!!! Even my local police department stated the same thing about Beaumont PD.

My husband and my 2 kids and myself were being threatned and our house being harassed by this person and the beaumont cops came over and had said over the next 2 nights they will drive by and basically check on us since they work that shift and that was that. Well I did not see one cop car drive by at all after that and I have cameras at my house so I would know and we were still getting threats and also in the process of trying to move but as soon as a neighbor makes a noise complaint about us making noise moving stuff at night the cops have no problem coming over twice for that but when my life was being threatened and my kids it didn't seem like a big deal. Even the night I made the phone call, I was in a panic and the person showed up at the house and my kids were scared and the dispatcher was really rude to me and just taking her time asking a lot of questions and yes I know they have to but when im explaining someone is at the house with possible weapon and she just didn't seem to care so I was upset they weren't sending someone already and hung up in a panic and the lady didn't even bother to call me back to make sure everything was ok or we didn't get disconnected, I had to call back and tell her to just hurry up please my life is in danger and she was just extremely rude and felt I had no help from any of the cops at all especially when I thought it was something serious. But a noise complaint is more serious than your life being threatened.

Thank you, Beaumont police department for NOT arresting the men who robbed my house, despite having eye witness testimony from the neighbors, complete with pictures of the men, the car and their license plate number. Also, thank you for making me leave my house and forcing me to get a hotel room after I called and reported that my abusive, soon to be ex husband had been slapping me around, pulling my hair and dragging me across the floor because I wanted a copy of our joint legal documents for the divorce. Thank you for assuming that I was simply a drunken wreck when I was shaking and crying on the curb outside my house after being beaten without ANY sort of testing. My ex would later take this information to court and use it against me after throwing me down the stairs, stealing all of the money from the joint accounts (leaving me with nothing) and filing a bogus restraining order with his mistress to force me from my home, based upon the scratches I left on his arm from desperately trying to NOT break my neck as he threw me down. To be fair ... this was the same officer in both instances. Normally, I'd only give one star (which I know is scathing to you all ... as if anyone cares) but there was another officer in your department that was kind enough to ask if I was okay after watching me sit alone at Petsmart in my car for a lengthy amount of time as I cried due to the abuse of my ex and the affair he was having with an equally psychotic and abusive woman. This same woman (I use that term loosely because I'm convinced she's some sort of devil spawn) would later loosen the bolts on my rear wheel, causing me to flip my car on the freeway. (I walked away with only a minor concussion and cracked pelvis, thank heaven.) This officer was comforting and kind and assured me that things would be better down the line. He told me to call if my ex hurt me again ... this is what an officer SHOULD be. By his saving grace, y'all got two stars. So in conclusion, thank you again to that one officer who made an already difficult situation unbearable. Thank you for the damaging aftermath of your terrible service as well as the additional legal fees I had to scrape together just to defend myself in court and recoup the funds that were stolen from me by my abusive ex that you so chumily sided with that night. I hope they've since weeded you from their force.

Security business I'm retired. I spend most of my time working in the Bay Area in the club security private event security and bodyguard work. I also coordinate it with Police Departments and generally had good success. My last 10 years in business I spent training others. I spent also in those last 10 years , 10 years on the street and Southern District. I got to know the watch quite well, and the faces changes but the game was always the same. So when I say the Beumount police department is 1st rate, that's not a novice opinion. Only speaking of my personal observation, but 5 years in, this crew rocks. I've seen them put in work, casual, and sometimes intense, yet never never not top notch. Not perfect, no doubt, but surely a cut above.
