I highly recommend Beauty Secrets! Dec 26, 2017 I was meeting a woman who braided out of her house for box braids for $150. My brother had given me the money to get my hair braided before my baby comes (currently 9 months pregnant.) I arrived at the house and the girl wouldn't answer her phone or her doorbell and it smelled like weed horribly. So I called Beauty Secrets because on google they had high reviews and were close. They charge $180 for box braids with the hair included. I didn't have $180. The owner, I believe her name is Rosie? Although I could be mistaken, she told me to come on over and she'll talk to me. So I go over and explained what happened and said she'd do it for $160 and immediately one of the braiders got started on my hair. The staff is so very polite and fast. I arrived just before 3 and left just a bit after 8. Although I couldn't always understand the language, I could understand the friendship between the braiders, they were always smiling and very attentive to their customers. The braids look beautiful. They are braided tight, naturally, but my head doesn't hurt the way it does after going to other braiding shops. In addition, Beauty Secrets offers many different styles. I definitely will go back and highly recommend them to my friends.

Love, Love, Love Beauty Secrets African Braiding. Meahou is my favorite, but everyone else is just as genuine and good. Great braiders in the entire shop. Mrs. Rosie is awesome only place I get my hair braided.

I made a very bad decision taking my child to this torture chamber! I came with a photo of a very uncomplicated braid design of my daughters choice,which she didn't do and which I was over charged for based off other pricing I heard about later! I selected these people based off stars and comments being better than some of the others,and put my child through hours worth of agony! Don't I mean "do not" take your kids to these people because they could care less about the health of their hair,or scalp! My child hair was done in a nice style but by the time we got home she was walking,and talking in a different way! My daughter was in agony and because it was for back to school, she didn't want to tell me they hurt! After an examination of her scalp I see one large red bump had formed on her hairline already and her entire scalp was puffed,and swollen and the back was buckling...looked as if it was being pulled together! I cried,got myself together and removed them ASAP! No I didn't call them back, or demand the over $100.00 dollars I paid(plus tip) I consider this a very expensive lesson learned, and ill pay it forward to you in this review! Don't bring you children in harms way these people DON'T CARE ABOUT ANYTHING BUT A BUCK!!!Take care of your OWN beautiful hair! Style doesn't matter over your health!
