I learned a great deal at Open Yoga with Kristen today. Kristen provided personal attention with clear explanation and demonstrations of poses that were new to me. It was very reassuring to know that balance in any of the various poses requiring more balance was not supposed to be an immediate achievement, and that it could be a gradual goal. As with all classes to date, it was a very welcoming experience, and I look forward to my next class. Amazing initial experience with Jody's instruction and extremely useful explanation to help expand understanding, to more than just the position, but also to the ultimate goal/intention of the movement/position. Movement/positions were efficient and wonderfully challenging. It was a great learning experience, and I even felt more energized after the class when I normally feel exhausted and drained after other classes. Jody has a wonderful teaching style using the tactic of distraction to help us push beyond our normal limits. As a beginner, I did not feel uncomfortable at all in the Open Class. Looking forward to my next class. Wonderful first experience with yoga at BecomeOne Wholeness and with Becky. Becky who subbed this week was a great instructor who kept an eye on us and ensured we used proper form. I learned a great deal about how and why different poses could benefit my body/health. I am looking forward to my next class. I know it's a great class when I'm feeling it already by the time I get home. I learned a great deal from Deb even though I have taken Pilates on the Reformer at a few studios with instructors with different teaching styles. Deb is a precise, experienced instructor focused on contraction/core/abs during each movement and ensured the range of motion was full, and I was able to the chair for the first time in a class. The only challenge which ended up being a blessing was more downtime during the class since 3 of us were in the class, but only a max of 2 people could be set-up on the same type of machine since there are 2 reformers, 2 towers and 1 chair in this studio. I am looking forward to my next class to continue to learn and challenge myself. Amazing first experience with BecomeOne Wholeness on a Pilates Reformer and Tower. Erin is an extremely remarkable, skilled, observant, personable instructor who kept an eye on the two of us in class. It is great that the max class size could be 4 or 5 at most. I have worked with a Pilates Reformer and Tower before, and I definitely learned new exercises. Looking forward to my next class.
