"Visual narratives of interconnectivity. BeingNau is a working studio and gallery showcasing the works of Milwaukee artist Brian Nau. A collection of paintings, drawings, wood sculptures, photography and copper and brass etchings will be on display. Digital projection will be used for real time drawings screen mirroring along with a mix of motion/morph art and videos. On-site cat and dog often greet visitors at the windows. Gene “Squanchy” Wilder is my Maine Coon cat, Sheldon is my blind Shih Tzu. It’s appointment only but I live on site so just text. I’ll be featuring a local artist on a rotating schedule, with an opening event per artist. And 3rd Ward Galley Night and Day. Looking forward to meeting you."

I first noticed this gallery walking by. The art stopped me in my tracks - very colorful and lots of depth. When I had a chance to meet with Brian regarding his work, I was captivated by how his brian works and how he is able to express himself with his creations. I really like his wood carvings - where you can see the layers of the wood and has a lot of movement. I appreciate when art makes you think. His work not only does that, but makes you feel.
I met Brian, the owner of BeingNau Gallery, on Milwaukee’s Gallery night. Brian made sure to introduce himself to each visitor and give them a tour of the art on display. He was informative and welcoming to each of the visitors. The gallery itself had walls lined with bright beautiful pieces. I’d recommend stopping at BeingNau next time you are in Third Ward.
Met Brian at a networking event. I stopped by his gallery and he gave me a tour of the space and discussed his work. The work has a lot of energy and movement. I also appreciated the time he took to explain his work. I ended up buying a nice piece for my collection. He even gave me one of his drawings as a bonus. Loved it
The gallery is beautiful, the design is clever and well done and inviting. The owner, Brian is personable, takes the time to explain his intricate, insightful art. I highly recommend the gallery and you should go and bring others!
My fiancé and I visited the gallery one evening and the owner was sitting outside in a chair. As we entered he started talking about pre qualifying people if they wanted to buy his art. We didn't express any interest in buying anything but just looking. He went on about how he is open to only certain people buying his art. It was getting uncomfortable so we left and he was still talking as we walked away. Very small gallery and very strange owner who did not make us feel welcome.
This is basically a storefront for a living space and is very small. I wouldn't consider this a true art gallery. All the paintings are done by the owner with no labels or prices. His pets are walking around and I almost stepped on his cat. He kept trying to tell us why he paints things. Very uncomfortable and would not recommend a visit.
A beautiful space with wonderfully curated art. Brian’s collection of work is full of vibrancy and warmth, a direct reflection of who he is as an artist and individual. Definitely a gem in Milwaukee!
